Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning everyone. I just came back from walking my dog and the damn clouds opened up and now it's piss pouring rain here.
Sheldon, I retired in 2006. It was a great stress reliever but a very boring stress reliever. That's why I work 3 days a week now. It gives me something to do as well as the human contact that I get. Retirement is great as long as you have something to keep you busy that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to do. So as you can imagine, unless you have a huge bank account, retiring to work on your old car will defiantly put you in the poor house.

Morning all. We missed the worst of it here in Don Mills it seems. Earlier it looked threatening over to the west and I heard some thunder while walking the dog. He doesn't much like thunder and wanted to go in so short walk.
Gotta tackle some more of the honey-do list today. Refinishing a park bench is the biggest of those.
Need new rocker cover gaskets, got oil seeping out onto the headers.
Have a good one everyone.

Went to a local car show here today. Quite a few Mopars, I was pleasantly surprised . It was stinking hot though. I only stayed for a few hours, walked around and looked at the cars then left. Still fighting a heat issue in traffic, especially in days like this!

Sounds like your engine is too strong for your cooling system. Do you at least have a shroud?

Good morning all, Wish I could call my Mom, but sadly she passed 2 years ago.
Mom and Dad both passed within 6 months of each other. Not sure what the weather holds for today, but after playing with my interior all day yesterday, I'm going to have to knock something off the honey do list.

Good Morning everyone. I am working again today, worked yesterday too. Had a great bbq with friends last night, then went over to another friends place for a fire pit. Allan i too slept with the windows open and ended up listening to the birds at 4.00 am. but in the end they sung me back to sleep.

I've lost my Dad...at 72 thirteen years ago, lost my sister at 56 four years ago....but Mom is still kicking, 86 this year, lives alone on one acre of land in Mt. Nemo....handles the riding lawn mower and snow blower like a champ !
You guys with Mom living upstairs in the "Big House".....all you have to do is give yourself a quiet moment today and put her in your thoughts.....she'll be there listening....

Whenever we need a favour mom gets a nod and usually comes through as moms usually do.DVJohn wrote:anlauto wrote:You guys with Mom living upstairs in the "Big House".....all you have to do is give yourself a quiet moment today and put her in your thoughts.....she'll be there listening....

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good Morning everyone. Had a rough weekend and even a worse Monday and its just starting. Thought i had found an intake here in Canada, and paid the man with e transfer was supposed to ship this morning too. Found a set of Holley 660 center squirter carbs and told the guy in the USA i would take them. Get a text this morning that the intake is now for a 440 not a 383 like first thought. So i got my money back but now have no tunnel ram. Texted fellow in the USA and said i will hold off on carbs till i find an intake, so i feel like a horses ass for bailing on him. At the same time i dont want $900 worth of carbs sitting here with no intake to use them on.
