Post by smoken340 Sun Nov 22, 2020 9:22 am

Good afternoon. We are getting our first taste of snow for this year.
Reg, I think that I have you beat. I put just slightly over 100 miles this year on my car. And probably the same last year as that's when I had my triple bypass.
Have a great day all and don't let the covid bug bit.

Reg, they do not know where he contracted the covid, he is a sheriff so his work is in a little bit of panic mode. He has also quarantined himself in the basement so as to
hopefully avoid his wife and kids getting sick, but they are also quarantined upstairs.
Got the Christmas lights up today and the wife and I decided to put the Christmas tree up and start on the interior decorations since I won't get to see it much this year since
I am working out of town until March. Also got awesome news yesterday from my best friend, they got a call on Sat from the hospital to rush in and Sunday morning his wife
received her kidney transplant. They were on a program where he would donate his kidney so she would be able to get one faster but it never panned out as there were too many
people involved in the one circle and something always went wrong each time they had a match for her. This program is for all involved to receive a live donor but this kidney she received
was from a cadaver and they were very happy for the gift as they had been waiting three years. Happy to say that she is doing great and the new kidney working well. They said it was a wonderful early Christmas present for their whole family. Bless the person who donated.

Cookie thats fantastic. Without going to much into my family here my daughter inlaw has had 3 kidney transplants as they do only last a limited amount of time but we are forever grateful for the donors and we always encourage people to make sure they have a donor card filled out unless theres some religious reason not too. Organ donations and blood donations are so important for others, its the most generous thing a person can do.

Good morning, the day started at -2 sometime around midnight but now it has reached 6 so far and on its way to 8 or more with clouds now, but lots of rain this afternoon.
Part time work on my gauges and cluster keeps on progressing as I do a bit each day and still at least 5 months to get the rest done...which could probably be done in two weeks without rushing too much. Just hoping the wiring part goes well too. Oh I just might need advice on the signal light hook-up and hope all goes well with the headlights etc.
As far as Covid, things are not looking up for even us down in the Maritimes, all we can do is stay safe ,wear our masks and keep doing what we are supposed to as recommended by our leaders and advisors.
Lets all stay safe and hope for the best and maybe keeping our fingers crossed won't hurt either.

It was over 50 degs here today so I took what might be my last chance till spring to paint the engine bay in my 71 Javelin project I'm working on. Now I can assemble the new brake line kit and install the engine!

Good evening, we had a damp day without sunshine. We started off at 0 and built up all day slow but shure and are now at 6 an are on our way to 11ish tomorrow. The indoor Christmas decors are not finished yet but are on their way there.
Should be getting more work done on my gauge cluster tomorrow but can't do a whole lot until I get my RPM gauge so just doing some grinding ,sanding and fitting.
Have a great day and stay safe.

Pretty rare car nowadays any way no rain today but wind and rain tomorrow good thing the boss gave me most of the day off tomorrow. Going to do a preview look at a 36 Ford that i did the interior for earlier this year as the owner now wants me to do the roof and headliner for him.

red-headed step-child is OK, Brad - with the exception of my first car (59 VW Beetle) and a Renault in the mid-80's, I've owned nothing but Mopars and 2 AMC Hornets (73 Hatchback and 77 Sportabout) - 65 Valiant Signet, 10 Magic Wagons, 3 Journeys, 66 Barracuda - look forward to seeing your project

Good morning, got up this morning and it was already 10 or so and will be heading to 11-12 but it is damp, cloudy and possibly showers later.
The Atlantic bubble is no more as cases of covid are getting too popular and bars and restaurants are closed as too many under 30 people were not being cautious. Seems we in Atlantic Canada have much more restrictions than most of the rest of Canada BUT far less cases too. Seems that the most populated provinces are thinking too much of finances and the hell with peoples lives...but that is just my opinion.
Try and have a good healthy and safe day.

It's fairly simple, but lets see if I can explain it. When you send a message, above the reply box there are a bunch of icons, go to the one that looks like a tv set. It's right near the youtube icon. Click on the tv (insert image will come up) and from there you can load pictures that are saved to your computer.
If you can't figure it out, then if you'd like email a few to me and I'll post them for you. My email is dtherrien123@msn.com.

Good morning, computer says a partly cloudy day today, we'll see. It is 2 whole degrees at the moment and raising way up to 6 or so...we'll see, well I guess it is better than below 0. I have had a lone goldfish for about the last 5 years... he is still alive and kicking so I guess I must be doing something right, I heard the other day on the radio that the record for goldfish longevity is 41 years...I doubt I will ever reach that, my last one before this lasted about 5 years but had lots that didn't see their 2-3 birthday.

Good day guys. only a high of 3 today and cloudy but NO snow for us.

There has been a record no. of cases of covid here and things are getting real tight for going anywhere. We have line up's for everything and only a few can go into a store at a time. Dam this thing just won't go a way!!!

Stay safe guys and keep well!

Staying safe isn't that easy with all these anti-masker A-holes running around - if they'd get their heads out of their butts and into masks we'd have more of a chance - my wife and I wear masks, social distance, shop on off hours (and usually only one of us goes into the store) - "can't breathe" doesn't cut it for me - I have COPD and asthma and I can still wear a mask!

anyway that's my rant for the day guys - please take care

Good morning . Raining like a son of a bitch here today. But still better than what's in store for us here tomorrow. Apparently we are in for snow and depending where you are they are saying between 10 and 50 cm.
Check out the pictures that I posted for JG,in projects, of his gauge project to date.
Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good morning 3-4 something like that. It rained so hard and the wind blew equally as hard last night even the dog sat up and looked out the window to see wth was going on. This morning the rain is gone but it is blowing a gale out there. Lyle we get our Saturday Sunday numbers this afternoon and I would bet 2000 + we seem to be higher percentage wise than just about anywhere in the country sadly.

I would believe that is probably due to the density of people on Vancouver island...it is certainly not due to the density on the mountains.
