Wish I could afford a show car paint job but all I have is a shiny el cheapo...$2250.00.
And remember 45 years ago they were a whopping $500.00

When did the times change that it costs more to paint a car than build and engine?

I out source the body and paint work on my customers. The most affordable paint job I can find cost $10K for body and paint work...NO METAL WORK....They've done 15 cars for me and now they told me last week that it will now be more like $12K from now on....They do nice work, but by no means perfect...

For stock applications I've been using a local re builder guy that just does engines for every local shop type thing....For High Performance motors I use Active Engines, and for Hemis I use FHO.

The last stroker engine I had built by some one else has had nothing but problems...I'll never go back to that guy

Good morning all, been very busy the last few days, finishing up some outdoor projects that I started last year. I want everything done when cruise season is in full swing, don't want to be out driving, thinking that I should be home, fixing some thing. Paint has gotten very expensive to do in the last 10-15 years. It cost me $10k. to paint my Duster, they had to do only one patch panel on the left rear quarter.

Good Morning everyone, got up early this morning, have been outside doing yard work and found two minutes to say hello. Sun is partly out but this morning there are wind gusts.
Intake is going on this afternoon.

Good Morning guys, hope your all doing well. Well a bit of bad news.

So it seems that i know how to pick em, or women are very good at hiding things till they think they got you in their web. After a week of dating and romance she let her true self show and lets just say it wasnt attractive. I ended the relationship, and she wasnt so keen on me breaking up with her. lol.Last night i dropped the truck off for detailing, and came home. With the truck gone she thought i was not home. In a span of 5 hrs she went from baking me a banana cream pie and leaving it at my back door to banging on my door and sending me texts !!!!!!! I asked her to leave and not come back or i would call the police, the nasty texts kept coming so i just ignored her. I wasnt about to engage in this battle like a high school boy. She asked me what was wrong with her and why i ended it? HAHAHAHA. I am not stupid, that's a big hook and i wasnt biting. Any man who has been married or in a long term relationship knows not to play with that hook. Plus its not kind to do someones inventory for them.

Looks like i am done with women and will spend the rest of my life as a lonely old car guy with my dog. I have a great job my own house and garage man cave, a great yard, close friends And 2 wonderful adult kids. What more does a man need? Well i got that pie still, just not sure if i should eat it?

Sorry to here about your girlfriend Sheldon, but the great news is you still have your car and Dog. On the plus side you found out about her true side before she moved in!!

Thanks guys. I tell you this dating and starting over at 52 is not all its cracked up to be. Yes it is better to find out sooner than later. I took a 2 year break from dating to figure out my life, and i sure dont need this grief. lol

Sheldon, it will happen when you least expect it. Leave that door opened a crack, someday the right lady will walk through. Better to find out about someone, sooner than later.

Congrats, A NDP province is not a bad thing.
A Harper country is great if you live in western Canada but Harper keeps forgetting that there are people who live here on the east coast too. I don't know if he has memory blanks on purpose or by accident.
