Good Morning Thread
Just got back from a nice 3 hour cruise in the Duster. Man this is perfect weather for driving the old cars.

Just don't buy a cheap dollar store one. They can't handle wind.

We had that yesterday, today was a little more comfortable. Especially driving a Black car with no a/c. Supposed to cool down to seasonal temps starting tomorrow.JGL wrote:And how about 28 for a high!!!

Good morning all, we started out this morning dry and 16, started to rain around 8am, temps are only going to drop a degree or two and remain there. Sun is supposed to make an appearance this afternoon. Have a good day.

Nope this one is stock out of a 68 Dart. I am not fond of the column shift so wanted a stock floor console but now that you mention it I bet I can get a double cream Tims in the console if I leave the door open.

I just opened the ash tray door on mine and squeezed a single cup holder in there for my coffee. The passenger can hold their coffee. It's a little tight getting the medium coffee past the shifter, but it works well enough. And if I go to a show I just pull out the insert and everything is back to original.

Re: Good Morning Thread
when I rebuilt mine I had changed the column shift for a floor shift and ran it that way for a few years before I got a console for it, I got one from a 68 A Body. Then last winter I was to build a custom one but thought, one out of a junked car would be a lot cheaper and easier, my goal was to have something with 2 cup holders, so I took a few measurements and I got one from a junked 2010 Kia Forte and now I have my 2 cup holders and 2 extra 12 volt outlets too. All I did to it was extend it 3'', make a few more changes (like cover the hand brake hole), then cover it with carpet I had, trim it height wise and presto it was complete and functional.Ragtacker wrote:Nope this one is stock out of a 68 Dart. Good morning
Good morning 6 and heading maybe 14 or so. My coffee usually goes in a traveler so will figure that out but you know what they say about necessity being the mother of invention. Going to strip the console and lay some primer down today, I am finishing polishing the chrome and preassembling the linkage.
Two more sleeps and I will be a Bluenoser once again(for a week!) Brother has the beer fridge so full theres no air in it.
Have a great day

Re: Good Morning Thread
Thanks for the forecast JG I appreciate that. Sounds like the same temp range as here although we seem to be getting a bunch of storms this year which historically is the way it used to be and theres alot of snow in the hills already which also is the way it used to be.
Cheers

That is kind of early for that weather but that's right your spring starts early too so I guess you have to give in order to receive.
