Re: Good Morning Thread
Well its evening not a great or good evening but my baby is sold. I never thought I would sell her but situations dictate certain things and thats that. I am not happy but sad I know that quality of car will never been in my possession again but lifes twists and turns dictate this type of thing sometimes and thats that. I will build another, the Valiant will be the next but ultimately i will build a Formula S clone and thats down the road a bit. This has nothing to do with Di and I and nothing to do with health so don`t be concerned about that please this is a poor business decision many years ago and the final piece to get this looked after. Cheers Moparians look ahead not back and never ever take a friend as a business partner because you will loose both eventually.

Sad news Ragtacker but life decisions don't always work out...looking on the bright side you still have the Valiant to work on and the family is still around.
Have a great day.

SAD SAD Day, Reg, but if I can read between the lines, I made one of those poor business decisions back in 1988, and it cost me dearly, both financially as well as the loss of a lifetime friend. It's a hard decision to sell your car but at least you found a good home for her and
you will come out ahead in the end. Looking forward to your next visit, to have a good lunch and see who can tell the biggest lie . lol

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning 9 but its sunny and should hit close to 20 finally. I should back up a day here yesterday we woke up to no power it had been out from 345 on Wednesday and finally came back on around 12 noon yesterday, it was a very cold night I have to tell ya. The wind was as fierce as I have ever seen. Oh its gone now. Back to the present ya so my baby is sold shes gone but I had a hell of a time building it and driving it. The Valiant now gets pushed forward and I hope to have it rolling under its own power by the fall. I shed the tears Di and I hugged it out onwards and upwards.
Have a great day

My daughter had her baby last night. A 6 lb 14 oz girl. So here I am home babysitting the other grand daughter, 3 years old and she's wearing me out.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Sorry to see your Baby gone Reg. But like you said look forward not backwards and there is more important things in life and you have a great little Valiant to work on and drive in the future.
Dan if it wasn't for grand kids what would you do with all your spare time.
Thanks to Reg my windshield is in and now arranging for a time for them to come and install it on the car.
Have a great weekend boys and Dan hopefully your not to warn out after looking after the kids!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning, Cloudy and mild today. This home renovation, that I'm preparing for is running me rag-git. Promises made by the appliance dealer look like they are not going to keep. Now I'm stuck looking for the remaining pieces to complete the kitchen. And of course there's the finishes that we need to pick. But the wife and I have different tastes, so that's becoming difficult. Almost wish that I never started this journey.

Good morning woke up to a beautiful wet outside, but only light showers.
Battery, dist. cap, rotor, trans pan gasket was all replaced on the Dart yesterday...lets hope that will do for the summer but the inspection is due next month.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Dan, it might be wise to let the wife have her way!
JG sounds like you have the car ready to go for some summer cruising time.
I have my Convertible ready and did an oil change in the SRT today so it's ready. The Barracuda and the Demon on the other hand are not ready to hit the streets. I was hoping to take the Demon to a show next weekend but I still have some work to on it.
Great day guys!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Keith, have you ever posted any pictures of the other cars that you have ? I've kinda took a step back and am letting the wife take the lead picking the finishes for this reno.
Weather here has been very humid with temps in the mid to high 30s.

Hey people, I believe my car is ready for spring-summer except for one thing which went berserk yesterday... "the neutral safety switch", ah well at least it still starts on neutral. Besides that all is good.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning 13 dark and rain. Looks like the cruisers are shut down again this weekend. Its been a garbage spring and it looks to be continuing for awhile. I have not done a lot on the Valiant lately theres so much to catch up in the yard so its back burnered for a bit yet. Rehab is tough, i think its more painful than the injury at this point but its the only way back. 50th high school grad reunion next Saturday and a swap meet a few hours away up Island on Sunday next so theres another weekend of no car work.
Have a great day

Good day guys.
JG if your starts in neutral it could just be an adjustment problem on your shift linkage. I believe it adjust right at the point it attaches to the transmission.
Jeg, I'm doing yard work trying to help my daughter get her trailer pad ready and finish up the farce and haven't touched the car in the last7 days or more. I feel your pain of not doing the car.
2 night ago someone stole my catalytic converter off my truck by cutting it out. I'm now in the market for a bypass, this is the second time its ben stolen.. dam thief's

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning kinda sunny kinda cloudy. The crap weather is still here its more like the fall than spring. I have my 50th high school reunion tonight and tomorrow me and 3 buddies are headed north about 2 hours for a big swap meet then I pick up my next project after that. Its a 46 Chev truck that has been started and not finished which is perfect as far as I am concerned. I wanted an old Dodge truck but this one came up and at the price it was a no brainer. Its going into my hauler until the fall then I will swap the Valiant into the hauler and work on the truck all winter. I am going to finish the engine back stripping next week and get it primed for paint, the /6 is almost ready to go back in. My buddy is tearing it down and all it needs is a new water pump and timing chain so thats a huge relief.
Have a great day

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day gentlemen, been raining the last few days, but I have so much to do to get ready for my home renovation, that I am forced to work no matter the weather.
Reg, I always had a soft spot for those old Chevy pickups. I have a buddy that has a 46 Chevy pickup, that he's owned for over 50 years but hasn't touched it in over 30 years. I've tried to buy it several times but he has a huge shop and it's buried in the back and he can't be bothered with it. So I just want you to know that even if you start wearing a bow tie, I'll still break bread with you. lol. I just won't tell my friends.
