Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day all, just got back from camping for the last week. Dam is it raining today, hopefully we don’t see any flooding.
Rev let’s see some pics of the 46 pickup. Those are great looking trucks. I do have all Mopars now but have had brands over the years.
My windshield is in for the barracuda but waiting for it to be installed. Did manage to get most of the drivers side interior together before going away.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning rain huh what ya rain after blowing a hurricane for 3 days in a row. The car guys are grumpy here. No bow ties here Dan I can assure you of that. I had to skulk around the high school reunion as a few of my Mopar classmates knew and they’re giving it to me pretty good. Lucked out at the swap meet last Sunday I scored a primo set of rear fenders for the truck so just need a box now and its off to the build for the winter. Good to know you will still have lunch with me!
Have a great day

Hey Reg have you got an engine for the truck? If Not a Hemi would look good and it would be a BIG upgrade at the same time.

Good day gents. It's another soggy day for us here today.
Reg, I'd love to see you build on the truck. Your right about old school Hemis and the price to build them up. An old school SBC is way cheaper and will cool with 3 carbs.
I worked on the Demon yesterday trying to get it goinf for the summer but still not running yet. Next time I'm over there working on it I'll get some pics.
Have a great day!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Keith that sucks bad. I have heard of more rebuilt engines with bad bearings bad lifters bad noises than I ever did in previous years. My buddy just got his lifters for his 500 something ford motor after 8 friggin months ugh. The 350 for the truck is a short block from out club president with 4 thousand KMS on it and I know its a. Good motor so I can just bolt on the fun stuff, I feel lucky.good luck tomorrow hope its easy to sess out.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning 14 should top out in the low to mid 20`S Today, summer has finally arrived it seems. Busy last week and a bit with my grandsons baseball playoffs they are 4-0 with the championship game today at noon. He is the leading hitter at just over .900 i told him it don`t matter how many you have won it don`t matter how good you think you are you have to win your last game then that will tell who is the best, took him awhile but he finally got it. Sheesh 9 year olds lol. So I hope everyone back east is enjoying the summer cruise season and shows. This coming weekend we host the largest Deuce show in the world yet again. There is 1200 cars registered from all over the world we expect the usual Aussie cars to show and of course hundreds upon hundreds from the States. A lot of the west coast cars in particular the Arizona and Cali cars come to Port Angelas and take the Coho ferry to Victoria. This ferry arrives in the harbour downtown and is quite the spectacular off load. There is 2 ferry’s for sure completely reserved by the Deuce owners one in particular is the LA roadsters. This year they are closing off the street to allow for the unbelievable welcome they receive from locals and previously arrived participants. One of the hotels has a fabulous balcony bar and a group of our local car guys get there early and have score cards as in a diving competition or such as as each car drives in front they are scored and each car that has a lady in it gets a white rose as the welcome party starts, of course the score cards only have a 10 on them. We have close to a 100 guys doing the parking on the show morning which is Sunday the 17th. We arrive before 3 AM and set about getting all the cars parked. When we arrive the boys are already lined up for many blocks anxious to get the prime spots, some are grumpy some are so freakin happy it makes you so proud to be a small part of it. We are usually done by 730 AM and go for breakfast and a ceasar if you go to the right pub. This only happens every 3 years and the excitement in the car community is massive we live for this! I got my buddies car done for this they are just waiting for plates and insurance cutting it close but it should happen. This will be a pic heavy post which will probably take 2 posts so I will post the updates on the Valiant separately.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Hello I am home for a change as this week was the Atlantic Nationals car show with activities from Monday to today but with a few showers mixed in. It was a beautiful record breaking weekend with just under 2600 registrants which is a record, great to see friends that we were not able to see last year due to the pandemic.
PS sorry no pics as I forgot the camera home, too bad cause there sure were some nice cars this year.
Right now it is 7:00 and it is still 27 outside.
Later and be good.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Just got back from another holiday and had some great weather. I'm back now for a few weeks.
Wow Reg looking like a lot of great looking cars. It's good to see that many guys out.
Your car is also coming along well.
Hopefully I have a few more pics to share of the Barracuda later in the week. I noticed that 2 of my parts orders came in while I was away.
Have a great week.

Good day guys, doesn't seem like there is anyone on here much but then again it is summer.
We had 30 all week but today it's raining and a bit cooler but well needed.
I've working on the Demon and hopefully I'll have it at a show in August if things go well!
Good day all!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day, just recovering from the Deuce Days show yesterday.wow what a show yet again!. I was down there at 230AM handing out Toim Bits and parking guys and a few ladies. We were pretty much done around 7 and went for a walk looking at the other cars we did not park and off for breakfast. 1250 cars was the total and thousands strolling around very early this year. The LA Roadsters were well represented again this year and are a classy bunch I have to say. Needless to say not much got done on the Valiant but that will change now. And the weather is back to sticking grrrrrr.
Have a great day

Well good day guys, she was a hot one today...31 but feeling like 37. Had the Dart Sport out to stretch its legs and of course add a little more gas.
Yesterday evening some people about 20-30 minutes away had rain, hail and thunder, we heard some rumble but nothing else.
Have a good one.
