Re: Good Morning Thread
Good afternoon, rain sun but no wind today. We are pretty much set for sunny days and fairly warm temps for the next few which Keith should be your weather too! Going to give it a try out in the garage this weekend. Not much physical work to do just spread some short strand mud and sand it off. Or sit there and drink beer and listen to 70`s on Sirius.
Have a great evening

That was actually yesterday, we had our last shingles vaccine on Friday and once again it kicked my f`n ass hard all day Saturday. Glad theres no more of that crap I need to do jeebus that was terrible. Did a bit in the garage not much but its getting closer to getting out there and doing something, the problem is I run out of energy so fast.

My one and only daughter tested positive for covid so we will not see her and her husband as they will isolate for the next five days. Yesterday she had a very mild sore throat and today low energy. Today temps are milder but the sun is hiding behind the clouds.
later and have a good safe one.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day all. It's windy but warm here, but suppose to more snow overnight. ug
JG I hope you daughter gets over covid quickly, my daughter had it about 6 weeks ago and even though she felt better after a week it kept lingering with a slight cough and a soar throat!
I have the shifter in my car installed but I don't like the way it goes into reverse so I'll work on that job tomorrow.
Have a great night!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Thanks Reg. I even have some of that stuff in the garage. I use to use it but once I was at a auto upholstery place and all they used is that 3M77 spray stuff. But the guy I know that had his car done there had it back three 3 times because the glue kept letting go.
I'm going back to contact cement.

JG hope it goes quick for your daughter - it knocked my son down for 10 days - hit him a week after he got his booster (disclaimer - he let his guard down and went out to a bar)
Re: Good Morning Thread
Good evening nice sunny day but a weekend of rain coming and man was the Noreaster howling last night! Really cold especially at 430 AM in a house coat with the dogs outside lol. So heres a few pics and I really have to say I wish they were better but I am not really given permission to advertise the cars or location so they are real quick shots and I will try to give you as accurate description as I am allowed. I took my buddy Gord who has been an incredible help in the garage with me as I had a set of GTS door badges for this fellow for the last of his restore of a 68 GTS. His current project which is almost finished is a 68 270 Dart with an brand new hemi in it which is a gen 4? Or 5? What ever gen we are on now and he is just finishing off a 68 Baracuda 340. Here we go
Hemi Cuda
Numbers Hemi Charger Numbers Hemi Road Runner drop top
Numbers Cuda
Numbers Duster
Theres a Viper with less than 100 K in front of it is a Demon with about 50 k on it. This builder/collector has probably 5 mil + in classic Mopars that are restored and way more that are waiting. My buddy who is a car lover but a Ford guy said if he could afford the gas he would burn down his garage lol.
Sorry there was not more pics but this is just scratching the surface maybe one day he will let me take some real pics of the others but this will have to do for now. One car that was moved out in his rotation is very special to me. Its a 67 GTX Hemi car that my ex brother inlaw owned. He has passed away from a number of things not the least of which is 2 different cancers attacking him at the same time. As it goes he was a peach just a great guy I really miss him and he was a fixture at my dads garage even though he was an baggage guy at the airport. I have no idea how he pulled that off but he did anyway he had the GTX and as we all did back in the day he was street racing on the main drag here and hit a piece of shrapnel on the road took out a tire which in turn sent the car into a pole and made a horse shoe out of it. This fellow bought the car from the insurance company tucked it away and chipped away at it over the years and has it totally restored and in showroom condition with a new frame. One day I will get a pic of it for you guys its just a beautiful car its a 1 of 50 if I remember correctly. Thats it have a great day

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good evening looks like rain is coming and it has honestly felt like snow the last few days but it never did snow. Did a bit of a road trip today up to Parksville about 2 hours or so north to get the truck serviced and meet up with fellow Pharoahs. It was a great trip, I took Gordie who has been my adviser and helper on anything I could not do on the Valiant. We had a great time swapping stories on the trip up and he knows so many hot riders here and on the mainland and a lot were know mutually by our hosts up there it was a fun 3 hours of gabbing and drooling over cars. They 2 fellows have a Hot Rod shot called goodfelllows they have started up and are making custom blown glass shifter knobs which look very cool in old school stuff. We stopped at Gordies cousins place on. The way home to pick up some hub caps for his 31A that I did and got inside his massive shop sideways I might add. Holy H E double hockey sticks is that place full of car stuff like 1500 sq feet 2 floors full like walk sideways full my word is there stuff in there and everything is cataloged in his brain and he can tell you where anything is in an instant, pretty cool. May have scored a 9 inch and a second gen hemi for down the roads project I have on the far back burner at this point. It was a friken great day mommas making nachos for supper I gotta exit stage left real quick!
Have a great rest of your day

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning, just came back from the hospital where my wife got a small scheduled operation on her right thumb...nothing serious. This morning is sunny and -2 now.
The Atlantic Nationals have new changes for this year, this will probably be my last year with my car there, my son in law wants to buy it and I am not getting any younger and health issues are creeping up.
have a great safe day.

Thanks Reg, I believe I will be able to get the car once in a while as they are rarely home on summer weekends.

Re: Good Morning Thread
JG hang onto that car as long a you can. You are the only one I know that is the original owner of a great muscle car! But it is good you have someone lined up to look after her and someone that is interested in driving it.
We have a trip planned for Mexico for two weeks leaving on the 22nd of mar. We are heading down to Huatulco secrets resort. Getting away from the weather.
On the weekend I did some work on the Demon in the other garage and found out one of the bolt holes in the balancer are stripped so I'll have another small repair on it. My goal of having both cars running by the summer is getting slimmer all the time. I have lots of work on both cars still. Although the motor is back in on the Demon. Now to put it all together.
Have a great day guys.

Excellent advice Keith. I will be interested to hear about your like or dislike of that Secrets. We are planning a trip next year and that’s one of the leading candidates. We like dreams but thought about trying secrets this time.
