Coming along just great! Keep up the good work. Did you choose a color yet? I bet a 360 with about 400+ HP would be great in that. One problem...it might scare your wife.

Re: Good Morning Thread
JG its going to be red as red as it can get thats what Di wants so who am I to say. I am going to change the interior to buckets and center console which was available for this year so will still be eligible for collector plates. I think if the 273 I have turns free I will put that in rather than the slant but really it depends on which motor is not frozen. If it was my car I would take the 408 out of the Dart put it in the convertable and find a 340 for mine but thats money talking not brains

You're doing a fine job, keep up the good work Reg. I say stick with the slant, she will like the better, if it gets good gas mileage. Women are funny that way.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Dan the funny thing about that is her cousin in AUS is building some monster power producing slant down there. The Aussies are huge on the slants apparently and he figures hes going to get 400 hp out of his creation so I am sitting back watching this with great interest to see what hes creating

Reg, don't forget that this build isn't for you. I think that you should check with your client, to see what she wants. lol

Good morning people, yeah Reg that 572 would probably not fit without torch work and the frame being re-enforced and then there is always the money factor.
Have a good day all.

Bet if she read this post, you wouldn't live long enough to finish the build. How does she feel about the Dart ?

Are you sure those are miles and not KM
Speedometers with miles go to 120-150 range but KM go higher.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Well good afternoon. The storm arrived on time and stayed a little longer than expected I would say. Its as dark all day as midnight is and man did it blow. Cookie sure hope you weren`t humping plywood today man you would have been a kite. Had one of my Ford friends pop by today to make him a seat belt or 2 and hes just bought another 56. I think that makes 7 or 8 all are showroom or better restored by himself and the one he just bought is one he restored for a fella so hes happy to buy it back. So I think thats 4 maybe 5 crown Vics he has now.
Anywho have a great evening and stay safe

Re: Good Morning Thread
Reg, I don't do much humping at work or otherwise. I am working inside at a new bread facility so it can blow and rain all it wants.

Reg, I remember when I was around 12 years old, I tried to talk my dad into buying a 56 Crown Victoria. But he wouldn't even consider it. Had he have bought that car, I would probably be a Ford guy today. I just loved those 55-56 Fords, and still do.

Good morning in the morning for a change, cloudy today with rain expected this afternoon. Only one more vehicle to go for snow tires...then my back can take a break.

Good day gents, I hope we can remember all the Vets that have died to keep our country free.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Almost 3:00 but hello anyway, put the lawn tractor away for winter and took out the snow blower which started on the first try I guess I am ready for the white stuff but in no hurry for it. One thing is sure though...it will come at some point but usually in lesser amounts here and later than the north of the province.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning 13 and its raining like build an ark raining. I bet he have had 5-6 inches by the time this ends, I do not remember this amount of sustained rain in my lifetime. We also now have a storm force wind warning for the afternoon so I guess what ever is loosened up by all the rain will now fall over. Hwy 1 is closed both direction on the mainland due to slides so ya November is here jeez. Got the driver side finished on Friday dropped it onto the skateboards moved it over so I can work on the passenger side and as of yesterday I just have to trim out the rear lower fender patch and all the rust repair I know of is done then onto the under carriage get the surface rust stabilized primed and painted.
Have a great day stay safe
