Snowed all night last night we got a fresh 20cm. to go with the 20cm that we got Saturday.
Enjoy your day all.
Hey Dan we got a whopping 5+cm while most of the prov was getting 15-20 cm, our winter is not average for us, we usually get much more but cold temps are coming for later this week.

JG, we already got more than our fair share and it’s not over yet. Sure hope this means that we are in for a real nice summer for 2018.

Good morning 1 snow is almost gone but may make a return appearance over the next few days. JG hope your daughter makes it back safely and anyone else travelling the same. Brother on the south shore in NS has been without power for a day now and maybe be another day or so. The gas stations are running low or out some not open at all with no power, you never know how good you have it sometimes. Hope he can get the generator running so he can watch the junior game today, thats important! Bbq for cooking its all good i know he has lots of beer thats the only sure thing.
Have a great day

Good morning, afternoon like, down in NS I heard that wind blew quite a bit but seems to me I seen that thy got mainly rain though. This morning it was -10 and now made it to -6 which is probably the high for today. This evening supper at my sister in law's place so the holidays are not over by a long shot. Surely there will be some kind of activity for the next week and 1/2, as usual. That is the way it is with a big in-law family.

Good morning all Moparians, -18 a while ago and the way the wind is blowing I would say wind chill would be somewhere around -35. But on the bright side it's sunny.
Have a great day all.

Good morning 2 but snowing all around us not sure if town will see any but its ok if it does because it will rain later. Off to work, I have a settee to build for a yacht and a massive sectional from a 105 foot yacht arrives today for re-uph. I have never in the last 25 years worked between Christmas and New Years. Before anyone says it I am grateful for the work however I am disgusted by the planning or lack of then it becomes my emergency, this has become a RFN shop and thats not cool. I`m with you Dan, the kids have had their day half the shit is broken or lost lets get warm and cruising.
Have a great day

Yeah but you have to learn to enjoy winter since it lasts 6-7 long months.

Who do you work for Reg? I did a two year stint with West Bay Yachts in Delta before I finally told them to piss off. Millwork fabricating and installing.

Re: Good Morning Thread
JG, down time for the old cars here is about 4 1/2 to 5 months normally. Some winters end earlier and some last a little longer. But for Reg, I’m sure downtime is much less.JGL wrote:Yeah but you have to learn to enjoy winter since it lasts 6-7 long months.

Re: Good Morning Thread
More like 2-3 months.
I put my car away 1st or 2nd week of Nov. and it comes out usually mid May, that is 6 months but sometimes its end of Oct to start of June, its hard to get two same years in a row. I know we all vary and we are used to getting the short end of the stick. I bet the territories are the only ones worst off than us. This year my car was out the last week of April, a record for me so far.

Re: Good Morning Thread
For some people here it's about 3 1/2-4 months. But my car is usually away by the 1st of November and no matter how nice the weather is, I never take it out before May 1st. Want to make sure that we've had lots of rain and the salt is washed away.JGL wrote:More like 2-3 months.
