Re: Good Morning Thread
Hopefully all that snow that came for you guys disappears as fast as it came!
It's been nice and warm here for the past 3 days with highs in the mid teens and today is +11.,I've even been working in the garage not on the car but yesterday one of the torsion springs broke on my overhead door, todays job.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good afternoon(down here anyway), I was outside most of the morning blowing snow, and up to a few minutes ago preparing the car for Jack tomorrow. Everything is a go and I learned this morning that our next snow storm will only be around the 28th of Feb. although the 21 might be stormy because of my birthday.
Keith if only that first line of your statement would only be true.
Have a great day all.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day all, was a real nice day here today. Should be much nicer tomorrow and Sunday with highs around +11.
JG, you put to much faith in weather predictors, the 28th is still along way away, so things can change. Most of these guys can't get tomorrows weather right, never mind 2 weeks from now. It's probably the only job that you can't get fired from when your wrong.

Same here Murray, but right now we are at +12.
Going back outside to enjoy what's left of the day.

Re: Good Morning Thread
I cleaned our 3 daily drivers. I took the cover off of the Duster, and did a little day dreaming and then covered it back up.
They are calling for the same weather for here tomorrow, so maybe I'll clean my last daily driver and have a BBQ.

Beautiful day here today also! I was outside tinkering on the Challenger in a tee shirt! On Friday I phoned Cass and ordered a 4:10 gear set and install kit for my Dana! 3:54 was not working so well, not enough rpm at Hwy speeds. ( I have a OD) Looking forward to trying that out this spring!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning all. I thought that because we are supposed to reach +11 today, I'd get an early start, couple of small errands to run and by the time that I get back, the sun should be warming everything up. Have a great day all.

Jean-Guy, why do you need a new axle? Bad bearing?

Re: Good Morning Thread
wish it was only a bad bearing.philcollins wrote:Jean-Guy, why do you need a new axle? Bad bearing?
Well when I bought the rear end it had been outside and exposed to weather for a number of years but I took a chance on it. Before installing we took the axles out installed new bearings and seals then I took the axles to a place where they knew what they were doing, one axle needed only so lathe sand paper and buffing while the other got the same treatment but the other was iffy and I decided to take a gamble on it instead of a whopping bill. Anyway the axle lasted me 3 years before getting noisy a little bit. Now it is time to replace the bad axle. If you have a good axle for an 8 1/4 let me know ASAP please and thank you.
