I only drink Chivas, Beer tastes like donkey piss to me. No matter what brand. The only thing beer is good for is making you fat.

Good morning, cloudy with sunny periods today, only 6 at 8:30 and 9 for a high, the warm front that came through is all gone. Also the last drivable day for the Sport so guess where I'm going this afternoon.

you're supposed to have 3 or 4 servings of fruit a day - apples are fruit - therefore hard cider qualifies!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning, 1 last night and 2 now and a high of about 8 with clouds all day, looks like the nice summer days are long gone. Had the Sport out yesterday for the last time.
Dan what is the winter storage process for the Duster besides cleaning the body and covering it?
Have a good day all.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning all, another cool day today. Don't think I'll do much today.
JG, I don't have a long list of things that I do. I hook up the trickle charger, add some Stabil to the fuel system, Throw a few Bounce sheets in it, stuff the tailpipes with steel wool.
I treat the body to the same sort of cleaning that I would at a show & shine, just a wet wax cleaning. I never actually wash the car, because I don't want any moisture sitting in those small cracks and crevices, all winter that I can't dry. Throw the cover on it and don't look back until spring. Been storing collector cars in this manner for the past 40 years and have never had an issue.

I never wash mine either, it gets Mothers Showtime instead and the paint still looks like new, that and a cover and that is it. I don't believe we should ever put our cars away dirty...it makes for too much work in the spring.

I've never had a rodent (mouse) problem, but I have a friend that lives only a few streets away from me, and a few years ago he had mice make a nest in one of his mufflers. The nest was packed so tight that the car wouldn't run, by the time he paid towing to a shop and had a new exhaust system installed, he was out several hundred dollars. This is why I put steel wool in my exhaust system, because the mice could make it into a cylinder through an open valve and that would certainly screw up a good engine. Cheap precautions, for an expensive investment.

Re: Good Morning Thread
I have an old radio playing in my garage all the time because I was told by an older gent that if there is low playing music in your garage it will keep out all small animals, I had a bad experience with a squirrel coming in my garage(before the radio) he came in by the front door, stayed overnight and chased him out the same way. Turned the radio on and no more squirrels or anything. This other guy had problems with skunks and had a carport. Solved his problem too. I am guessing rodents would fall in the same category. From what I hear small animals don't like noise of any kind.

Re: Good Morning Thread
I've heard that music thing before, but living in the city, I can see that the small animals Squirrels, Skunks and Racoons, have become accustomed to noise. So I can't see where Mice, Rats or other rodents wouldn't get used to it.

Good day all, man it was a very cool day, only reached a high of 5c. But we had a wind chill today, so it felt like 0c all day. Enjoy what's left of your day.

Our high was a balmy 5.5 which felt like +2 with the dampness and slight showers.
