Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day to be Canadian.
Grandparents all came from Poland before WWII and were very proud Canadians.
No more fireworks for me, we've got a 105 lb, 1 1/2 yr old yellow Lab that's a big scaredy dog.
I'll be in the basement with him tonight hiding from all the noise.

Good morning all and HAPPY CANADA DAY.
My dog is also afraid of the noise from the fireworks. I think that their hearing is so sensitive that it hurts them more than scares them.
Already took my dog for a long walk now I think I'll go take in Rib fest for a bit.
Have a great day all.

Finally cleared up after lunch - mother-in-law's living in my living room right now (cataract post-op) so not a lot of lounging room, went out on the patio to work on the AMF model I'm building - '66 Barracuda, painting up same colour as my Fish - which should be done soon - can hardly wait!
Happy Canada Day, folks

Good morning all, it's going to be a great cruising around in the Duster kind of day today. It's going to b bright and sunny with a high of 22 Celsius, and not much of a humid x.
Cookie-Monster, I hope things cool down a tad for you guys soon.

Good Morning everyone (although morning has gone by), time to clean up the inside of the Dart, the Atlantic Nationals start Thursday, the outside is done but not the inside or wheels. At least the weather should be nice all week, including today...there is a great big yellow light up in the sky.

Re: Good Morning Thread
My first post on this thread...and yes I agree with Dan, weather was just beautiful.
So I decided to change the oil and filter, and scrub the remaining of the interior of my now "moldy" Duster....
As I was draining the oil in the '71 Duster 340, some lady shows up, about an add on Kijiji my wife had....
Short story...when she pulled away, she hit my '09 Chrysler 300C's rear passenger side panel, sitting in front of the house.
It just seems I can't cut a break lately.
So this one is for sale, 104,000 k's, certified, e-tested, Hemi, babied, $15,500., once the dent is removed. I don't believe the panel needs to be painted, the dent could likely be pulled out, which I will find out on Monday.

First off let me welcome you to the good morning thread, which by the way is actually the post anytime of day that you have time thread, lol.Gazoo wrote: some lady shows up, about an add on Kijiji my wife had....

Then let me go on to say If it wasn't for bad luck then you wouldn't have any luck. Is she paying for the repair ? If you have a dent doctor out your way, that's probably the best place to take the 300C. There's no money to be made popping out a dent for a body shop. Let us know how you make out with it.

Re: Good Morning Thread
The no luck at all rule applies here Dan. I told the woman who hit my car, that would cost close to $300. to repair, she shrugged it off, as expected.
I do have a friend, that does dent repairs, and he would likely repair the dent for me, in the $200. to $250. range. But unfortunately, she broke through the paint, so the repair cost just got that much higher. I managed to buff all the scuffs from her Blue Jeep, from the white paint of the Chrysler 300C, but....paint is still required to make it look right.
I'm heart broken, both cars I really loved got kicked in the nuts this year.

Good morning all, got up early so I could walk my dog before tackling to honey do list.
Giles my friend, don't let it get you down. We all go through bad times, but there's always light at the end of the tunnel and better days ahead. Well I've got lots to do today, so I better get at it. Have a great day all.

Good morning all...ah well morning is gone in this part of the country, sun was out but just went for a coffee break. Cleaning another part of the Dart Sport for the Nationals more tomorrow. Have a nice day all.
Giles seems as if your luck is not that great, let's hope better days are coming...I'm sure they are. Scratches on a loved car are usually painful but fixable. Keep your chin up.
Cookie-Monster do we have any pictures of your garage somewhere?
Jean-Guy

Re: Good Morning Thread
Here you go JGL
23.5 x 26 with 12'-2" high ceilings. Still have to finish the inside and outside, I needed to get everything out of storage because it was costing us $300 a month and already spent $3900. I still have to empty tools and parts out of the shed and try to organize temporarily. I am sick and tired of working on the house every weekend if I'm not sick.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Evening all-long time since I've been around. Lots of stuff going on in my world keeping me busy. It's been hot and dry here basically for the last couple weeks. Rained today a little and possibly some more tomorrow but supposed to be hot and dry again next week. The farmers are getting suicidal!

Good morning all, looks like a beautiful day ahead. Went to a show and shine last night and seen a spectacular 72 Duster 340, green outside with white interior. It was for sale, but I couldn't find the owner. Forgot the camera at home too.

Good morning all. Very humid already, they are calling for Thunder storms this afternoon followed by a slight cool down. Got a few errands to run before the rain starts. Have a good all.
