Morning everyone. Been up since 7 out doing yardwork. Relaxing with my pooch then off to the dealership to order some parts for the truck. Will spend rest of the day in the garage getting duster chassis finished today.

Late Good Morning, been up doing all sorts of stuff including errands. Partly cloudy and not too warm today but tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and warm.

Good morning all. Spent the day yesterday putting my interior in. I even replaced the dash pad, which was a little difficult. Ran out of light and energy yesterday, so I'll finish it today.

Went outside around 11 and forgot to say Good Morning then but I do now. Was cloudy when I got up bur almost all cleared up now, supposed to be a fairly sunny day with a few passing clouds with a high of 22. Was just finishing some yard work with my wife. Going to a birthday supper this evening for my sister in law, she was a great big "65" on Thursday.
The Dart is resting comfortably out of the brite sun.

PICS PLEASE I am not the only one who wants to see your work, you seen mine now its your turn...we might even pass judgement.  Question Exclamation Question

I am planning on going, not sure if I'll have the car back together by then. After pulling the consul, I discovered that it's been patched a few times. So I think I'm going to try and find a good replacement.

Post by silvercloud Sun May 24, 2015 6:42 pm

Good evening all-hope your weekend was good. Spent yesterday in the city scratching a few things off my list. Today I decided to tackle a leaking rear wheel seal on my dually in anticipation of taking off later in the week on holidays to find the previous owner had done a (bleep) poor patch job. My first clue was the 1/4" endplay once the caliper assembly was removed. Shocked Looks like there was a bearing failure at some point in time and it was basically scabbed back together. The outer race is turning in the hub so it's going to have to be replaced. I don't think that's going to be cheap. Doesn't matter, it's going to have to be replaced before something bad happens. On the bright side the rotor/pads look OK, and surprisingly the bearing cones are in good shape. I'll call the dealership in the morning and am hoping that there's one at the distribution centre in Red Deer so it can be here for Tuesday so I can put it together Wednesday night (my nephew has a ball game in town on Tuesday night) to be ready to go Thursday. Don't want to think about what I'll have to do if they can't get it that quick.....I was even to the point today of buying a complete used diff just to rob the hub but dually stuff is not near as common as single wheel parts. I have a complete SRW diff sitting here but it's of no use.

But it was a nice weekend weather-wise to be outside, and I'm looking forward to better times once the truck gets fixed.

Good Morning all, went for another walk, nice and sunny, calling for temps of 29+ today, didn't vacuum the Dart yet this year so that is on the list, plus wax the wheels and maybe even do the tires and whatever else I can find.

Hub will be in tomorrow morning apparently. Nothing that $700 won't fix. Shocked Not much I can do about it except grit my teeth and put the truck back together. That and think happy thoughts! Very Happy

Good wet morning, it's a good day to do inside work. Raining fairly hard at the moment but 10 minutes ago the rain had almost stopped (or taken a break).

Dry and hot here too-tried to rain this afternoon but didn't amount to much. Parts came in and appear correct so tomorrow night after work I'll slam it back together and get ready to roll on Thursday. I am wound tight right now from work so I'm looking forward to some holidays to unwind.....even if it's only 4 days away. Voicemail and email autoreply are a wonderful thing-but I bet I can't stay away from it for the full term. Rolling Eyes I already have plans to stop at the office on my way through Thursday to tie up a few loose ends that I won't be able to deal with until then. Right now it's not a good time to be the weak link in the chain....
