Re: Good Morning Thread
I have cancer and because of my health, I don’t qualify for Chemotherapy or Radiation. So as long as the medication works I’ll be okay. My doctor says anywhere between 2 and 6 years and if I’m real lucky maybe 8 years. Anyway my wife feels the car will be good therapy so she doesn’t want me to sell. But I don’t want to leave any headaches for her.

Get out there and grind those gears Dan!! your race isn't over yet, buddy, and there's lots of car shows to go to.
Re: Good Morning Thread
Thanks for the support Lyle. I’m not ready to give up just yet. Hopefully I’ll see you at a couple of events this year.
Reg, I was starting to think that you were trying to figure out a way out of buying lunch. All kidding aside buddy, I really look forward to seeing you sooner than later.
JG, I really think that it’s got a lot to do with all of the chemicals that we put into our bodies with the food that we eat.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day all. Lots of rain here today and very cool temperatures, was supposed to be 8 but the wind chill is making it feel like 3. Trying my best to stay positive but it’s hard when you have been told that there is no cure. Just waiting for the warm weather so I can take the car out. Have a great day all.

Good evening 13 and suuunnnyyy!! Staying positive will help Dan, I know that seems pretty simple and easy for me to say but it will help. One of My uncles has bowel and prostrate cancer and has decided to stop treatments and he signed his assisted papers yesterday. Man it’s all around us this damn cancer. Take it day by day and live it to the fullest buddy.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Reg, I haven’t given up yet. The Doctor told me that once the medication starts to work, I should almost feel normal. But until that happens I still have those bad days with bad thoughts.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Ya I know my friend. We just lost my best friends wife after a terrible misdiagnosis but the cancer was fast and relenting. I am so proud the way she went after life knowing there was little left. Hers was so fast it was over in months but she said get after it don`t wait just fkn do it. We are going to the Yukon taking a month and going its time to live. Like I said hopefully you have lots of miles on the odometer yet just hold the course and screw those bad thoughts they just get in the way. You feel like crap and want to talk I am here I think you still have my number just call doesnt matter time just call I am always here for my friends. This goes for the rest of you guys too if you ever need to talk about anything and need someone I am always here.
Take care

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning 10 this morning should get to the 20`s so they say.. big day in the ol garage yesterday. Got my new paint gun fired up and layed primer down. I learned a lot about the gun and my lack of being able to stay on my 75% overlap rule lol. I have a few runs no biggy will sand them out and respray but I am really happy with the look of my welding and body work at this point. My biggest enemy yesterday was the heat funny enough. The primer was drying to fast because of the heat in the garage leaving it bumpy/rough so will have to work around that next round. I will lay down 2-3 coats of high build next week and block sand but she looks pretty straight already.
Have a great day!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Nice and warm here all week, today was 24.
Reg some great work, nothing looks better than laying a coat of paint (even if it's primer).
I fired up the Barracuda and ran it through the gears on the jack stands to find out the transmission has a leak where the back up switch is threaded in. I believe there is a gasket in there so hopefully have that small leak fixed tomorrow.
Have a great weekend guys!
