Re: Good Morning Thread
Reg that looks like my place. It has finally stopped snowing but we must have close to a foot of snow over the last 3 days and it is cold outside! Was -24 at 7am here. Even that makes the garage to cold to work in even with heat. It takes so long for the tools to warm up!
Stay warm!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning we were -1 here this morning the NE wind blowing a but so probably wind chill -3 or 4. Like every snow storm its now brilliant sun but its cold. This is kinda early for this but meh whatever. I am lucky the upholstery shop is in my old garage in the house and its warm so no cold tools but it has not always been that way. In one shop I worked in as the boss the girly boys were whining about being cold and seeing thier breath and all the rest so I finally said once the toilet water freezes we will shut it down and damn if it didnt the next day…bunch of whiners. Lol

Good morning 4 or so and a bit cloudy me thinks although its still dark out there oh wait nope its fairly clear lol. Snows gone except in the shadows now so that good. Got the trunk primed yesterday man I tell ya if the trunk and engine bay are not the toughest spots to paint on a vehicle I havent painted it yet. Going to paint today and get that done so I can put the trunk lid on sometime in the near future but first the engine and brake plumbing.

Good morning 4 and cloudy but no rain in the forecast. Got the paint layed down yesterday but had a gun and paint issue almost at the end so its fix and second coat today. Overall I am happy so far next is to get the motor painted I will have to research what colour a 65 Valiant tower of power should be.i started peeling back the onion on the engine bay, now thats a satisfying job to do!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Reg that looks awesome! It's really coming along quickly for a guy working in his garage.
Weather sucks here as we still have tons of snow on the ground but it is a high of 6 today.
I've been working on my bucket seats rebuilding the seat bases and getting them to slide real nice. I did buy a broken seat base online and have made a good one with that one and one part of my original seat base and now have it welded back together and that one is now complete.
Have a great week all!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning, thanks Keith peeling back the masking tape was very satisfying I have to say. Weather here is cold at night highs of 7 or so in the daytime but no rain or anything else except sun for the week so they say. Those seat bases can be one frustrating fix at my house anyway but when they are fixed oooolala.

Good morning 0 heading to 9 or so today. A whole week of sun sure was nice but we know we will pay for this next week. Not much going to happen on the Valiant this weekend too many other things taking away my attention. Got to get the cover on the fifth wheel mow the lawn for the final time and get the pond pump all cleaned out and ready for winter. Going to reupholster the Keg downtown over the winter so have to get the shop cleaned up and ready to get going on that.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day guys. We are getting about the same weather JG, low was -3 and a high of 2 so not too bad.
I was working in the garage the beginning of the week and now have the dam flu. Stuffed up and achy all over so I'm just staying in and taking it easy. Seat in the car will have to wait until next week.
Have a great weekend!

Good morning -2 looks like a bit of cloud or fog hard to tell yet. Keith thats a kick your ass flu I have heard, got my shot yesterday so hope I can avoid it but get better soon eh. Got a lot of crap done yesterday so I may get more than I thought done on Val. Went out to my buddies place yesterday who has torn down and reassembled the /6 and we have a good motor now. Had a good visit with him and I dropped his Cyclone seats off. Man what a car this thing will be, 289 is gone he is dropping a 428 cobra jet into it full roll bar no excess weight just totally track ready.

Good morning 1 feels like minus 1 and if you are dragging you ass out of bed and getting dressed more like -40. Got the rear wheels of the Valiant and used panel bond to attach the inner and outer wheel wells on the radius so will have a look today maybe try to loosen the bleeders to make sure we can bleed these brakes when the time comes. On the other hand I may just take the drums off and see whats what which sounds like a better idea actually. Have to see what the hip is like and go from there.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day guys. fairly nice here I think it's a high of 4.
I have one seat in on my car for a trial fit and hopefully the other goes in on Friday. I completely took apart the seat tracks and I will never do that again. Man it was hard to put them back together. I thought I could clean the track where the 2 bearings go but next time I'll just shoot some cleaner in the track and regrease them.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning 3 but theres a weather statement just posted so its a goons get chilly here and maybe even white again. Keith ya might want to get the woollies out! Most of the brake plumbing is done, the new stainless fuel line is run now I need to get this old crusty tank cleaned inside and sealed. I am going to use POR15 tank treatment to get this sucker back to as close to new as possible. So during the day with my friend running the brake lines I wanted to get the drums off and check the shoes and wheel cylinders, well imagine my surprise to find nothing there. No shoes no nothing not even the steel to hook stuff up, guess I better start going through bins lol.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning 4 clear cold wind which has calmed down from the big time wind we hands over night. This week now is going to be cold and snow on its way so they say whoever they are. So got a bit done on the Valiant yesterday not a lot as it was Christmas lights outside tree inside and damn I need an eggnog inside. I found the emerg brake lines so thats good but I have 2 radiators both are different numbers and I tried looking online but that was pointless all I can find is brand new aluminum rads so does anyone know the part number for the stock rad? /6
We are taking the family to the Keg tonight for supper so guess I am working for another few years to pay for this lol.

Re: Good Morning Thread
The slant 6 engine compartment was built for the slant and the small block v8 so choices can vary unless you want strictly slant six stuff.

The smaller should be for the slant but then again there are no promises.
