Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day all, crappy and cold today. Rain on and off high of 11., but warm in the garage.
Still working on the Barracuda today, yesterday I got the rear wheel wells cleaned and sprayed with box liner.
Dan I think they should give out a free pair on Nike running shoes with every Covid shot and it will go well the the slogan 'just do it'.
TGIF and have a great weekend.

So when are we going to see progress pictures of the Barracuda ?
Have a great day all.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning in the evening, it is getting dark. Weather wise today was good. My back only hurts when I lean over a fender or under the dash or something like that...which is too often, I try to not do those kinds of things too often but...
''I personally have a phobia about needles'' I have a brother in law who is so scared of needles, he can feel them just by talking about them...even if they don't hurt. I went for mine and didn't even feel it.
Stay safe and healthy guys.

Good day, holiday Monday and sunny...Our premier is going overboard with our constant ''French English'' issue,,, so what else is new as he is not a give and take kind of guy. Things are either black or white with no grey part in between. Oh well...
Stay safe and have a nice day.

Good morning all. Sunny and very humid today 29 feeling like 34. Had some stuff that I wanted to do in the garage today, but it's just too nice of a day to waste inside.

Good morning but not the morning anymore, it is a sunny day but this afternoon we have sun and gusts of wind which are not usual for this region.
-JG, how did you make out with your computer issue ??
Looks like I will get booted out again this summer unless my son can come up with something.
Later, be safe and good.

I have some eyes for her and some trim rings. The trim rings will need some coaxing to get them on as they have a slightly different shape than the originals. Today I'm welding up a spot on the back and underneath of the car that I forget to get before paint. More pics coming!
Have a great Friday all!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning 16 and cloudy chance of showers. Bought a 65 drop top Valiant yesterday, its not for me its a surprise for my wife when she retires next year. Its a project car but all the parts are there very minimal rust in the floor pans and rear quarters which I will cut out and replace with new panels. Got 2 motors 2 904 trans with it a tower of power and a 273 not decided which motor will go in probably the 273. Going to do the welding which I don`t know how to do but a buddy is offering his guidance going to do the body work and for the first time I am going to paint. I know I can do it all I know it won`t be perfect but I am up for the challenge and can`t wait to get started. The posted price is not what I paid loll and like I said its a SURPRISE so keep it on the down low please

Re: Good Morning Thread
well we're on the road again - rain or shine we're good. Got out and did a little road trip - a fellow Moparian I ran across had a nice set of door handles, so now I have a nice set of door handles. Had a little pickanick and cruised on down to the beach. My wife gave me hell for looking at the near-naked jailbait, but she said it with a smile
Keith, here's the pix of the USB charging port I had put in (both parts available from Amazon) as well as the 2 holders for GPS and phone (Blue Ant brand from Crappy Tire)
beautiful day, places were busy but folks seemed to be behaving very well, masks on, no crowding

Nice and warnm here, high of 29 for today.
Lyle nice to see you out in the Barracuda!
Reg I noticed that the Valiant has a Dart front end on it, or is it a Canadian model car?
Build that 273 for it!
Have a great day guys.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning warm to hot here today I thinks its 22 already. Keith I think its a Canadian car but I will check the vin once I have it home. I am only the 3rd owner and I am sure it was sold new here in Victoria. Now looking for both rear patch panels, going to call Laysons tomorrow and see what they have in stock. Ya I would like the 273 to go in it but we will have to see, a k frame is included for it so its not an issue from that standpoint it mostly depends on which motor is the best

Re: Good Morning Thread
Reg the K frame for both the slant and the V8 are the same in that year.
You would need V8 motor mounts for the 273.
Yea Canadian Valliant's have the same front ends as American Darts with some minor changes.
I had a 66 Canadian Valiant or a Vart as I called it!

Re: Good Morning Thread
I don't need any more patch panels but the ones I did get I did get from laysons.
The fellow to email about weather if you need something and to ask about stock is Rick.
. Email him for any info and he is a great guy, if you call and it's not in stock they don't inform you very well and you could wait a long time but Rick is an honest and upfront guy.
