Re: Good Morning Thread
Our winters always have a couple of weeks of this cold shit, but not usually until we are close to the end of winter. And here we are only a couple of weeks from the beginning of winter and it’s already freezing with no end in sight.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Its kinda funny eh(not funny but you know what I mean) I was watching the news this morning and the weather lady had most of the country in red including a wee bit of the island. I can`t remember seeing that recently at least but mom is an iron tough old girl from Regina and she spent Christmas in Calgary this year, was she happy to be home oooooooya not diggin the old prairie crap anymore. They said tonight on the junior broadcast that if these temps last till next week the falls may totally freeze up. Now I am certainly no expert on the falls but that seems like a pretty rare occurence to me. I lifted off the Darts cover today and gazed lovingly knowing that soon(where the hell is that gd welder) we will be cruising or at least putting on all the new bling I got for her. And right now just working on her is good enough for me

Good morning, bright sunshine but last night went down to - 22 and now only -17. Like Dan said its too cold to work to work on them but I can at least lift the cover.
Try not to celebrate too much tonight and have a great day all. Remember drinking and driving don't mix...specially now-a-days.

Re: Good Morning Thread
-3 this morning and just got our power back a few hrs ago, it was out since 2:50pm Friday. We have a wood burning fireplace but that only helped the one end of the house and the
other end was ice cold. We had freezing rain and then the winds picked up and started dropping trees everywhere and taking out power lines and apparently something went kaffuey
at the sub station.

Good morning 1 but windy as heck. The sun is out mostly feel sorry for you boys back east. Cookie I was wondering how you made out in the ice storm, we escaped everything except the rain here. Some of that ice looked 2 inches thick! We are staying home having a steak and lobster dinner then try to make 9 at least.
Happy New Year to all

You guys don't know what your missing...I shouldn't talk too much as we did not see midnight either this year, for the first time, at least we are both retired...must be an age thing on our part.
HEY Reg when you retiring, you must be thinking about it fairly hard.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Reg, on the days that I work, I’m up at 3:45 am. But on the days that I don’t work, I sleep in until 6am. I just hope that when I do give up work for good, I’ll be able to sleep in.

Re: Good Morning Thread
3:45 crikey thats getting up to go fishing hours! JG theres no retirement plans for me, I need to keep working for a few more years at least then maybe slow down a bit but I need to putter or whatever you want to call it so might as well do the odd interior car or boat and make a little coin. I always have the little repairs for the pubs so lots to mess with when it suits me. Now if the old lottery comes in well then thats a different story, lots of Mopar bucks then lol

Re: Good Morning Thread
I tried that retirement stuff before and it wasn’t for me. But I am thinking about giving it another try. Just need to find something to fill my days, especially in the winter time.
