Mike, they changed the layout quite a bit and also put the public parking on the same side as all of the vendors, BUT I was really disappointed in the type of vendors that were there. Mostly household junk. I'm sure that the amount of vendors of any kind was way down from other years. I walked the whole thing in about 5 hours and in years past you could walk for 9 hours and not see the whole thing. I don't think that I'll ever go back.

That has been my experience too. I didn't go this year... or last year and keep in mind I live in Barrie ( that speaks volumes...) . I've been going for over 25 years and it has steadily declined . Sad to see. I was away this year as a buddy invited me to help him with his car on Hot Rods Drag Week. First time for me, what a cool experience!  Went through 4 chevy alternators but other than that it was flawless .
Here is a video my buddy made of our week.

I don't know a lot of history on the Acadians, I'm sure that they got a raw deal.
However I'm sure it's no worse then than the way the White man treated the natives.
Because I'm native, I have done plenty of research on the injustice they received.

Just before the Acadians were deported we were approximately 12,000 mainly living in NS, a few on PEI and maybe some in NB. We are now much greater in numbers and dispersed throughout Canada, the US and mostly throughout the eastern hemisphere of our globe. We now reached way over 1,000,000.
After the deportation, we were about 4-4500 left behind and mainly hiding in the woods with the help of the natives. I Figure that without the natives help we would have had no chance at all. This all happened in 1755 and being allowed to return about 13-15 years later. Some came back to the Maritimes while others walked all the way to Quebec or stayed in the US. Most of us LeBlanc's are now in NB but some are in Louisiana or spread out in the eastern seaboard of the US. We have relatives almost everywhere if you dig deep enough. It is interesting to find out all this stuff.

My wife is actually my 6th cousin as my mother was a Gaudet just like she is, but this I have known since before we got married. Talk about being patient man, she says the same thing about herself too!

Good sunny afternoon, temps went down to a cool 5 this morning, now it's up to 25 with the odd small cloud floating by. Last organized Cruise-in of the year tonight for us, that means that if there is any more cruising it will not be very big or organized.

Ragtacker wrote '' insurance quote for the house and car''

Did you ever think of trying classic car insurance, that is what I have and just about all classic car owners around here, it is a lot cheaper than most combined house and car insurance, although it never hurts to check. We have such a broker down here so you guys must have quite a few. The co. I deal with is ''Elite Insurance Company'' from Scarborough Ont. . They work with HAGERTY INSURANCE.

Have a great day to all Moparians!

I have private for my collision and comp but our basic has to be with the provincial insurance company. I have basic and comp with them because the Dart is not in a locked garage so my private insurer will only give me comprehensive off the property. We have a collector car program for the old cars and this year they introduced what is called a modified collector for muscle cars. Theres a number of hoops to jump through so I am taking the winter to get this application done but once done the guys I know that have full coverage in the collector category pay 300 bucks a year, quite a savings

I pay just under $350 for the year, no locked garage, no questions asked, just appraisal before it hit the road.

I find it OK. It only goes up if your car is appraised at some wild figure. Mine is estimated at 20 grand.

Good day all. Really hot here today, been out playing around in the garage, as its even to hot to drive the Duster. 34c with the humidity at 42c.
I guess the classic insurance is different everywhere, my Duster is insured for $25k and it costs me $190 a year. I've never had my car appraised, its insured with an agreed value between myself and the insurance company. I'm insured through Hagerty. Who were originally Lant insurance co. Have a good day all.

Good morning, wakie, wakie Canada, skies are blue with a chance of rain sometime today, a temp of 16 rising from 8. Last cruise-in for the season last night and the place was packed. They announced last night that we were the biggest cruise-in east of Quebec.
Have a great Mopar Day.

Hi guys...
I'm back as we did the Oregon coast for the last 5 weeks. We just made it down to the northern part of California, I think our favorite spot was a place called Florence.
I was able to catch a few car shows down there and found some cool Mopars, As soon as I get my pics together I'll make a new thread with the pics.

Hope you all had a great summer as it comes to close, well at least in Alberta... High of 18 today.
