Mike, they changed the layout quite a bit and also put the public parking on the same side as all of the vendors, BUT I was really disappointed in the type of vendors that were there. Mostly household junk. I'm sure that the amount of vendors of any kind was way down from other years. I walked the whole thing in about 5 hours and in years past you could walk for 9 hours and not see the whole thing. I don't think that I'll ever go back.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day fellow Moparians. The sun is back and it's mid 20's for a few days now. Did some paint touch up on the car over the weekend so not much left for spot touch ups left now. I painted the inside tops of the doors crazy how much tape and plastic and time it takes for a quick shot of paint. Dan I hear ya about the pooch our little male Yorkie is a gold mine for our vet. He gets an ear infection every three months guaranteed plus he is accident prone so once s month we dump the bank account it seems. He worse than a Car lol.
Have s great day

Good day all, nice warm weather here, probably the last mild spell for this summer, will likely start to cool down in the next couple of weeks. But we should be able to cruise in the old cars for another month or so.

How much fuel did you use for the 300 kms.

Good day, back amongst the living thankfully. Not sure what the hell that was but hope to never have a day like that again first I thought I was going to die then later I was afraid I wouldn`t. The rains arrived the campfire ban is recinded thankfully so now the forest fires can finally get under control. Its snowing in the mountains which seems early but thats going to help as well but jeepers mid September?

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning, 10 rain wind it sure changed like someone flipped a switch. Thanks Dan back to my bitchy self so must be alright at least so I am told. Probably you guys don`t know I park the car in a Costco garage(1.5 years old now)and mostly its good enough for the west coast. Was working on the car doing a little paint maintenance a week or so ago when it first started raining and saw a little drip in one spot only. I could not see a hole but it was definitely leaking so I bought some material to make a liner for the roof to stop the drip on the car figuring a very small hole had occured somehow. Sewed the beast together and went to put it on between the frame and roof and as soon as I pushed up the roof tore 2 feet !@#$#$$$%%%%$$. Today I sew the new roof and will install weather permiting but boy that crap is thin that the manufacter uses and not very well treated for UV anyhow word of caution if you have one check it now before the snow flies.
Have a great day

Re: Good Morning Thread
Hello, I'm back from the states, us Acadians sure got a raw deal but we are still here and multiplying! Very interesting.
Reg the next step is a real garage...but make it big enough, I can't go any bigger because of a power line running beside it and they want room ''just in case'', 10 foot power line easement.
If anybody has a 2 car garage and park their salty winter car in it too, do not think it will not rust your summer car at the same time...unless you are very lucky.
Snow is for later, we just try not to think what is coming.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Welcome home JG. If you are multiplying then thats real news lol. I wish I could build a new garage but thats not possible. We are tight to the proprty lines now so have to go behind the house and thats about a 40 grand proposition and if theres 40 kicking around I know where its going.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Wow 40 grand for a garage, down here you can build a 2 car garage for under 20 grand.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Welcome back JG. Hope you had a great trip and a good time.
I don't know a lot of history on the Acadians, I'm sure that they got a raw deal.
However I'm sure it's no worse then than the way the White man treated the natives.
Because I'm native, I have done plenty of research on the injustice they received.
Reg $40k for a garage seems mighty high. I built a 6 car garage here for $55k.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Dan the big issue here is the placement. I would need to go behind the house so some 60 feet of pavement then the shop/garage. Then theres all the enviromental (notice mental is in enviromental not an accident I am sure) seismic crap, I spoke to my contractor buddy at the funeral Sunday and just to add 10 feet to the front of my current garage/shop would be just south of 20 grand and I would be finishing it. We are seriuosly getting screwed here and not kissed, they are trying to bring in a rain tax ya a rain tax where you will be taxed on the run off of rain water into the city drainage system. If I was so lucky to build one it would be a double car garage probably 24 x 30 and thats just not feasible at this point. Our development rules are just brutal
