Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning, -2 now a high of 4 but supposed to be sunny. JG imagine being on this globe for all these years and never knowing that! A bit humbling to say the least but it was a jack my late father bought at the good old Yuma swap and shop and I am not sure he ever used it and I have had it 2 years and never used it so being low on fluid makes total sense. Dan yes the wire insulators are one of the new things I need but I had to drop the tie rod so I also need new dust boots for there. The bolt holes on the heads aren`t 3/8 surprisingly enough so had to use the old bolts except the four short bolts are now used up on the drivers side so know I need to get new ones anyway. Not sure if they will take back the new package of ARP chromed bolts may have to eat that one. One thing leads to another which leads to another, people look at your car and say oh thats nice and shiney they have no idea what else is involved to get it that way. One new trait I have aquired working on this car is patience, never had it before never saw the need but now I get it.
Have a great day

Reg, what is patience, because I gotta tell you, that is something that the older I get, the less I have. How much clearance are you going to have on the starter ?

Re: Good Morning Thread
the starter went back in quite easily except for the top bolt is almost impossible to get back in. It came out from above however it had to go back in from below and that was nigh impossible. got it but was a major pain in the patoot

Good morning guys, I had a real job last week so wasn't on here. Working for a small network company doing cat6 install and setting up a small business network.
Reg did you install a mini Starter?

Re: Good Morning Thread
Keith I think it already had one installed because I read all the stories of having to get a new starter and this one was so easy to re install except for the above mentioned pain in the ass bolt.

Re: Good Morning Thread
I have headers on my car and it still has the factory starter. I've never had an issue, but I do worry about the starter over heating and leaving me stranded.

Re: Good Morning Thread
I tend to find myself going well over the speed limit all of the time. Normally here in Ontario the speed limits are between 90/100kph.or55/60mph. Depending on which highway your on.
I usually fly along at 130kph or 80mph. Sometimes more, no matter which highway I'm on. My Duster doesn't cruise very well when I travel any slower. I'll try that line next time I get pulled over.

Shouldn't be much more than a week, lots of stuff down up there which makes for slow going but the army is there and their main job is to clean up before the crews and after. They are also checking on the people making sure everybody is safe, there are also places to warm up and have something to put in their stomach, like churches, halls and others. This is what we hear down here.Ragtacker wrote:Jeebus thats terrible any idea how much longer?philcollins wrote:7 consecutive days without power...

Seven consecutive days already and still another week. That's just terrible all their food is going to spoil and probably a lot of worse things could happen as well.

Hey Dan remember the ice storm Ont. and Que. had about 20 years ago or so? Some people went through hell and the power was not back in only 1 week. The last ice storm NB got was back in 1950, way before I was born.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Actually its barely a memory. But 4 or 5 years ago we lost power for 4 days in row. That's when the big transformer went and it affected parts of the US. as Well as southern Ontario.
So what parts of NB, are affected, by the power outage. Was Fredericton hit by it ?

Re: Good Morning Thread
Hi guys - not much goin' on, spending most of my time lying in the living room looking at the ceiling, or sleeping. Staples come out Thursday, then the physio starts.
Re: Good Morning Thread
The inactivity would drive me nuts but good drugs ease that and the pain somewhat. Physio sucks as a matter of fact I seem to be alergic to exersise I break out in a sweat everytime so to hell with it. Take care

Most of NB got a taste of it except maybe the North western part (Edmunston area) but the North east part known as the Acadian peninsula was hit hardest and there is much damage up there as well as the ice still being on the poles and trees, in some places poles are breaking every day because of the weight if the ice, down here everything melted in a couple days or less but not up there. It's only a couple hours away but weather wise, almost another world, much windier and colder up there. Ourselves the power went out only for about 5 hours but that is because they were repairing lines where there are hospitals first and then nursing homes and we are between nursing homes...1 mile away on each side.

At our age, exercise should be part of our daily routine...unless we still work hard, I know I try and do my part. Physio is not that bad, you get to lie down on a nice comfy bed, chat with the nice and often beautiful physiotherapist(female) and do not have to sweat your ass off.
PHYSIO means you are on your way back to being what you used to be!

Good morning people, mostly sunny but -13 here and -17 up in the powerless Peninsula. Going out for lunch with my brother-in-law who broke his ankle when he slipped on ice a couple weeks ago. Doctors orders are for him to not put any weight on his foot for at least 4 more weeks and no work for 3 months. Besides that not much going on. Partly sunny day which will warm up to -5 -6 region. Did I mention that Coyote Jack was coming down Feb 18 to help me put my sure grip in, never done one before so I don't dare try it alone.
Have a great day everybody.

Physio, is supposed to mean that your on your way back to what you were before Surgery. However this isn't always the way it happens. When I had surgery, the Physio, was just to give me some use of my arm, but no where near the way it was before the injury.
