Re: 68 Dart
Shes done, the leaks are stopped the carb adjusted all the guages are reading the correct temps ,pressure and volts. All I need is the two little ity bity fittings from Lokar for the kick down and we are golden. I did run Evans cooling and of course thats what leaked #$%^%$##@ but I think I caught most of it and filtered it with a reusable mesh coffee filter(sorry honey) and returned it to where it belongs. This thing sounds like a beast, lumpy the way I wanted and now just wait to see how well it stays glued to the road .....ya right.

Re: 68 Dart
Got the new rims and tires on tonight. Installed the new power brake booster and master on the weekend and got the lines cut and installed today and I just have to say f#$%$%%%$#E proportioning valves. Those damn things make bleeding lines not much fun. I found the Cragars on Kijiji and other than trying to find left hand thread lug nuts the whole transaction was awsome thanks to Another member on here for being the middle man and arranging shipping from Salmon Arm to Victoria

Re: 68 Dart
Looks like a new old Dart, but that is the whole point isn't it. I guess that means you have succeeded. Good looking car, good job. Too bad your so damn far away, I will probably never see it in person...oh but wait my wife and I are visiting western Canada next summer, so somehow, somewhere maybe we will be able to meet up somewhere. I will let you know when our schedule is finalized.

Yes please do let me know what part of the west you are visiting. If you are coming to the coast you have to come to the Island its not cheap here but its the best part.

Re: 68 Dart
That trunk mat looks real good, can't wait to see some more interior pics. Reg you do some great work!
Those bucket seats look newer than 69 to me. My 70 dart had low seat back seats with head rests and my 74 Duster had seats similar to those.

Those seats are 70 up. 69 down are low backs. Some with headrests and some without headrests.

Re: 68 Dart
Dan yes those are 74 Duster seats my customer is putting in his 67 Dart. Somehow I got discombobulated and lost track or misunderstood what seats we were talking about. Mine are 68 GT buckets or so I am told but have never really looked.

Re: 68 Dart
I could have swore that you posted a picture of the seats, but I must have been mistaken, as I can't find it on here.
The medallians that you just bought, were for the rear seat weren't they?

Re: 68 Dart
Yes they were, I already had the branding irons on the fronts. Funny eh I really had a good look at them and compared the new ones to the ones I already have and they are in identical condition. Lucky me!
