When we had the boat I called it a labour of love but this is more like a heavy dose of lust

One good way to keep a shine on things is to polish them BEFORE you bolt them down, specially the intake cause that is the hardest to reach part. If you don't have any chrome cleaner I suggest to get some.

For the short time that you had it running, it sounds good.

The day was amazing we had 14 at the house don't know what the official high was. I need to chase some grounds, the tail lights are barely visible and the headlights are non existent so now the real head scratching starts.

Start with making sure that you have a good body to frame ground as well as a good engine to firewall ground. Good luck chasing down the Gremlin.

Yes the engine to firewall ground is virtually non existent the body to frame is ok but theres my start for sure. I have no dash guages working so I am doing nothing until the grounds are fixed. Gremlin is a good description but I will wager there will be other not so nice names before its done eh.

Thanks guys it sure does look alot better, must admit I am surprised how nice a job it is for rattle can paint.
The motor is awaiting the main bearings and for me to paint it. We have been waiting for some nice weather but of course its arrived this week ahead of the bearings. I would guess the motor will go back in after Easter, we are camping that weekend so nothing happening then thats for sure.

Done from a rattle can. How does the color match up? Is that an Mopar touch up paint or something that was a close matchup ?

Dan that was a local company they copied a can that came with the car which was from the states and was factory match. It is very very close, a little hot on the yellow but it will settle down as it dries, I am happy with it.

Reg, don't get me wrong, it looks much, much better. It's probably not heavy on the yellow, the old paint is probably just faded. It' s going to look great with all that chrome under the hood, once the engine is back in.

Yes you are right. I have no idea how old the overall paint job is and for sure its got some age on it but this is a driver/car show auto not a concours show car so if someone does`t like the match to bad I like it. It may be a bit bright under the hood with all the chrome eh, that good and I am smiling like hell
