Re: Good Morning Thread
I am not sure, I got it on my account and I won`t get the invoice for a bit. They say the payback is around 2-3 years because theres no need to flush or service the cooling system anymore because of it not having any water in it so theres no electrolysis or corrosion to worry about. The sales guy was saying it will still work with water mixed in but its purpose is reduced by the percentage of water in the system. 3% is the allowable for it to work as its meant to. He was also saying that if you have more than 3% simply drain the system and boil off the water and put the coolant back in. I am not sure how the Mrs. will like me using the soup pot for doing this but if I ever need to I`ll just wait till she's at the hairdressers

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day all, we had a little rain around noon today, but it's dry now. They are calling for freezing rain tonight, but I don't work for the next 4 days, so it shouldn't affect me. Enjoy what's left of your day.

Good morning all. Freezing rain around here this morning. Should all melt this afternoon when the temps go up and the freezing rain turns to rain. Have a good day all.

Good Morning all, should be a decent day here today. Got a few things to do today, but I'm going to start by walking my dog.
Have a good day all.

Good morning everybody, Good Friday today, another day off for most people and if you work for the gov. which includes schools, then you probably have Monday off too. Cars are covered in freezing rain this morning with a temp. of -3.

Found out the price of the Evans waterless coolant, it is $39.99 US per jug or $53.06 CDN and we would use 2 jugs probably so that would be $110.00, OUCH.

This is what we call shoring which supports the decking for pouring suspended concrete slabs. I am a superintendent for a development company and run the projects from start to finish so we have a contractor doing the work you see in those pics. I am a journeyman carpenter
by trade and I use to to do a lot form work like you see in those pics. I have also done framing, cabinet making and boat building. I have been in construction for 37yrs but my side passion is working on cars and metal work.
I have been doing my job for so long I hate having to come home and work on my house so this is the last time I do reno's and our next place is either a condo or the old folks home. Happy Easter to all you guys.

I hear ya Cookie I have built the last two homes we have lived in and reno`ing the one we are in now and I am done friken bloody done. My bride wants the house painted a new ensuite and the main bathroom redone and I cut it off there. I would rather live in the fifth wheel and travel but she needs an address for the grandkids to come too so I loose. All I want to do is make a few bucks keep the car nice and buy diesel for the truck but thats a bit to basic for momma and she has a pension so......... Oh its 16 at 7 pm and we had sun all day and we are camping and I have a fire and beer and at this moment life is perfect.
Have a great evening

If you give your yorkies some beer they might act very differently and then you will have to chase them around.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day all. Did a lot of running around this morning. Came home went out to the garage to put something in it and the smell of gas near knocked me over. Starting by checking the engine compartment, nothing wrong under there. Looked under the rear of the car and there's a small puddle of fuel under there. Guess I'll be looking for a gas tank. Damn

Check if it is not only a hose first, some old hose from the 70's. A hose is much cheaper than a tank.

I thought about that after I came back in the house. I'll check that tomorrow, I've already upset myself thinking about it today. Sure hope that's all that it is.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Yeah things like that are stressful on car people and unfortunately we have all been through it at least once during the time we had our car. The worst time for me was the cracked intake incident but it was not the only one and I am pretty sure we all had something at some point. I myself had more than one sleepless night thinking of how to fix the problem. Often enough night time is a solution time too.
