Still not sure I could sit in one spot that long without taking one of my pain killers. If I had to take one then I'd be a space cadet anyway and wouldn't pay attention to the trial.

Good day all, Welcome back J-G. I'd be jealous about the warm weather, but I'm sure I'll get the same thing next week in Vegas.

I've been watching the long range forecast for there and they are calling for sun and temps in the mid 30s, for the next 14 days.

Good morning, 8 now 18-20 this afternoon. New front brakes this morning and go peel some tires this afternoon. Going to stop at the exhaust shop and get a price on changing out the drops and putting proper tail pipes on. Even my son in law who is a race car driver and has a 63 Invader street rod says its loud so I guess it is. My bride will not step foot into it(maybe thats good?) until I quiet it down but HELL I love it. Heres a pic for you, little Reg with big RegGood Morning Thread - Page 40 Image12

Congratulations Reg. Great looking car. How long before young Reg. gets to take over the wheel and making you the co-pilot ? You are probably like I was when I was young, couldn't afford many speed upgrades, so noise is all that I had, to make my car sound fast. Now that I'm a few years older, I still love the sound of a noisy exhaust system.

Right on Dan. If it's too loud, you're too old. Applies to exhaust and music. Led Zep gotta be turned to 11.

Got the Duster out today. Short ride but still fun.

Steve Earle, The Other Kind:

It used to be I was really free I didn't need no gasoline to run
Before you'd say Jack Kerouac you'd turn your back and I'd be gone
But these days I got me two good wheels
And I seek refuge in aluminum and steel
I'm only out there for a little while
But the years fall away with every mile.

I like it loud but this may be just a wee bit too loud. After this picture was taken I was coming down the road one over from my daughters road and I let er rip for about 50 feet and I set off two car alarms, made me smile and still does but I got a price today on proper tail pipes so the loud fun will be a little more subdued by this time next week. The po had just put drops off the muffler so the sound really hangs around under the car. Great for smoke shows but not so good for the Mrs. And her desire for a car ride.

Dan, I doubt he will want to drive it ,he is a dare devil and my car will be too tame for him. He is pretty much the champ at the bmx track in the strider catagory so they have to move him up to peddle bike races now and he is just flying around on that bike now. 4 years old and he rides the curbs practising for riding rails. He loves speed, god help us!

Hell, my neighbors hate me with a passion, when I start my car at 5am, the alarm goes off on their car and its parked at least 75 feet from my house and that's only at high idle. However I get where your coming from about fixing it for the wife. I'm truly lucky, because my wife grew up with a loud muscle car in the driveway all the time, because her dad was a mechanic that specialized in loud fast muscle. She feels it's not true muscle, if it's not loud.
