71 duster build
I bought a 71 duster here in Regina that was in an accident then sold by SGI to the highest bidder. The car Was bought here in Regina in 71 by a 50 yr old lady the car has 20,000 original miles on it and was a 225 six cyl car bench seat etc. I built a low deck 426 wedge, 383 block with 440 crank. 525 hp and 552 tq. nice stump pulling street car. 727 TF 3500 stall with 8-3/4 with 3.73 gears. Interior is mint, needs door panels in the front and carpet, seats and rest of the car are mint. Bench seat stays in the car, its got that lovely blue plad interior. I have the Dr Diff spring relocation kit with new Afco 166 lbs / in springs in the rear, with 15x8 weld wheels with 4.5 BS and Mcreary L-60x15 street rubber.

WoW...that's a clean looking car. Is that a white vinyl top or a white painted roof ?
Re: 71 duster build
Its a white vinyl top, going to leave it that way with a white 340 stripe on the side.

Re: 71 duster build
Its pretty well a rust free car, just the usual surface scale on the bottom and behind the rear tires. Floor, trunk are mint mint. No rust on doors or quarters, but granny did need glasses, as there are some evidence of an accident. But has all been fixed.I have one stock fender and one repacement on drivers side where she crashed. Rad support and frame horn were fixed, Going to install glass pin on hood, with dual snorkle scoop.

Re: 71 duster build
Hey Grumpy427, are those McCreary tires from a company called American Racer Tires (Tread Type BB Soft Asphalt Compound tires)?
That Duster is pretty cool by the way........especially the interior.

Spent saturday in the garage, got the rest of the welding done that needed to get done on the body. We also tacked the new spring pads on the housing, moved them in to match the ofset spring hangers. Housing goes to the machine shop this week to get complete welding done, Bernie has a jig to make sure the housing stays straight .

Re: 71 duster build
Rad was not cheap, was built by Smiths radiator. He assured me it would cool my big block without fail and be a direct bolt in.

Re: 71 duster build
Yes it moves the spring in enough. You can fit a 12.5" section width tire.
