Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day guys.
The site wasn't working for me again yesterday, just came up with a blank page.
Getting the final body work done on my 65 Cuda and have some rust repair on my fender shields to do this week, well probably I'll be working on them next week too!

Good day guys, yea pulled all the old inner splash shields off after fitting them and will start repairing the rust on the first splash shield today.
Here is a pic of the car with the motor and trans installed and we ran it to break it in and now ready to start pulling it back apart to fill firewall holes that aren't used and to prep firewall for paint. It's a 406 cid Mopar crate motor.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Oh ya I'm running a heater, I just looped the heater hose for break in of the engine.
Turns out tomorrow I'll be working on my father-in-law's Jeep, we got some snow a week ago he bumped a low concrete wall and I found a lower control that is bent and his rear brakes are very thin so I'll being that work tomorrow. But back on the Cuda on Saturday!

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day all. Looks like another nice day today. Yeah temps have cooled quite a bit, but at least we are still having above normal day time highs. Hibernation is getting closer for the old cars. Lots to do before then, so I better get at her. Have a good day.

Valiant goes away on Saturday, didn't accomplish anything on the car this year, maybe next.

Put the Fish to bed on Monday, after the last show of the season on Sunday (which was an absolutely beautiful day to finish on)
Re: Good Morning Thread
Well I didn’t have much of a chance to drive the Duster this year, so I’m hoping for a couple of good days in the near future.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good evening 12 but rain moving in with a lot of wind following it then clear and cool or cold depending on your tolerance for the next week or so. May go for a blast this Saturday in the Dart but then again the car hauler is in its winter spot in front of the garage so maybe not, don`t care really if I do or not. No real plans for the winter work on the car, will change the oil put in some stabilizer for the fuel but no major projects this year but then again pretty sure I said the same last year.

No work on the Fish over the winter, new stereo system and seats in the spring - replacing the front buckets with Procar reclining low-backs with headrests - wife naps in the car and I have had thoughts about what would happen if we got rear-ended. They mount in the existing bolt-holes and I won't have to change the seat-belts. Shouldn't cost any more that the Sebring seats I was seriously considering.
Re: Good Morning Thread
Beautiful sunshine weather happening this week. Got my heads, crank and manifold last week and a bunch of items missing. Heads are going back as I refused to accept them due to porosity throughout the whole castings, very disappointing coming from FHO but they are going to credit me so I have see what happens next. From first ordering the heads and the other parts it has been a year. I should have built a 632 chevy and be done with it a year ago.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day all, Cold day here only a high of -2, but tomorrow +8.
Cooking Monster that is some poor service from a company like that.
I've been working on the old Cuda and as of today I have engine, trans, exhaust, brakes lines and master and wiring harness all out and will start cleaning up the fire wall for all the holes that I won't be using. I also have to repair my 4 inner splash shields and do a bit of welding on my front valence.

Here are a few pics of the heads. This is porosity throughout the casting and not sand inclusions in the surface.

Re: Good Morning Thread
That's poor quality, doesn't look like they have any quality checks in place. Good thing you sent those back, they sure wouldn't of lasting long before having some serious problems.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Reg they came back with a win last night, so it will be decided tonight.
Cool this morning here -5 when I got up. Hopefully I have some time this morning to get the valence on and line up where to weld on the tab for the fender shield.
Good day all. where is JG?
