Good day all, actually mild today at +2. We did get a little snow last night and they are calling for snow all day today but right now it’s more like rain. Have a good day.

Yeah Reg, the further North and East, you go the colder it gets as well as the larger amount of snow you get. Even though you wife is only about a half hour or so away, it really does make a difference. Everything that we got last night, is melting in my area.

Dual black scoops, are you going to make 4'' holes in your hood so they can cool off your engine, as well as feed air to your carb?

I made mine functional, because the air that got caught up in them made the hood shake like crazy. So I figured that I might as well make use of the air. Help cool the engine and give more air to the carbs.Good Morning Thread - Page 4 Hood_p10Good Morning Thread - Page 4 Wp_00011

Yup have the gaskets as well for the holes. I am not using a dual snorkel air filter I just want a bit more cool air under there. This motor runs hot all the time so my thoughts were exactly that JG. Finally found some measurements on line and this is the end result. I want the scoops to sit flush but the after market not so great mounting studs do not sit right up under the scoop edge so I am going to drill the holes the size of the base so they will sit down flushGood Morning Thread - Page 4 92cc5a10

Ya JG I looked at that as well but according to the measurements I could get on line thats the factory spots. The back 2 holes are on the back side of the rear rib where the weather strip goes and thats where everything I have seen online is as well. Theres actually a few pre drilled holes on the under side of the hood on the frme work on all hoods I found out.

Yeah, and that's before washing my car.lol. Most of the pictures posted of my car, don't do any justice to the paint. The shop that painted my car did an amazing job. The picture that I posted was before they buffed the paint.

Should have predrilled holes in the braces like my hood has.

Lyle, lives in the Snowbelt, so this shouldn't bother him at all.

Good as always. I really don’t do a lot and get paid for it. Whats there to complain about.
One day my boss asked me, why I want to retire, when he pays me to be retired.
