Snowing and blowing out there. We're going to play it safe and stay home. Going to have to miss the concert. Bummer.

Good morning , we got it all today. Snow, high winds and frigid air, starting the day at -11 with a wind chill of -22. Going up to a high of -7 with a wind chill of -15. And I have a few errands to do this morning, already hate the thought of going out. Have a great day all.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Well the snow let up a little yesterday evening and we thought we'd try heading to London. If it got real bad we would just turn back. We made it there and back just fine. What a great show! I'm not a huge fan of Christmas music but the way these ladies sing it didn't matter. If you every get the chance to see the Ennis sisters, do it. You won't be sorry. They are playing in Brampton tonight and Orillia tomorrow night, then back to Newfoundland for six shows before Christmas.

Good morning guys, got back from Mexico yesterday. We were able to stay and extra 2 weeks due to over booking on the plane and found a nice condo unit in PV. It was weird seeing all the Christmas decorations up and being so warm outside.
The weather here was horrible while we were gone and not great today either, now -19 and get this tomorrow a HIGH of -20 then on Sunday a high of +2.
Good day all.

Good day, finally got home, -4 now but was -12 in the wee hours of today. Supposed to be in the region of -20 tomorrow morning. Good to have you back Keith. Light snow falling with no wind to blow it around, 6 cm since this morning but real light.
Have a great day all.

JG, The second thing to go is your memory, the only good thing about that is you don't remember what was the first thing to go.

Re: Good Morning Thread
It's snowing so hard here now, that I can't see across the street. Worse part is I threw a dealer plate on a trade in, that came in at work yesterday and drove it home. My wife liked the car so she drove it to work today. This isn't the best weather to drive a car that your not familiar with. The good thing is, it's a 4x4.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Question for you Dan. Why do car salesmen drive the cars that are for sale home? We went to the local Chrysler dealer after supper a few weeks back to look at a used Charger. The salesman on duty said the other salesman took it home. We couldn't see it. I was pissed. Won't deal with them now because they wasted my time.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Normally all of our cars are on our web site. Most people usually phone and make an appointment to see it. What would happen if you went to the dealer and another customer was out on a test drive ? Would you still be pissed at the dealer ? Or better yet what if you got there and they allowed you to take it out and then someone else showed up without an appointment, should they be pissed at the dealer. Just because its advertised some where doesn't mean that it can't sell 10 minutes before you arrive to see it. When a customer calls our dealership and makes an appointment, we automatically put a hold sign in the windshield , to let other sales persons know that someone is coming to look at it .
In this case after my wife drove it today, we have decided to buy it.
Now if you made an appointment, then you have good reason to be pissed, but if you just showed up without an appointment then you take your chances. Because we also allow customers to take a vehicle over night if they have interest in it, but are still on he fence.
OH, and I'm not a sales person, I am a lot person, but all of the big wigs like me for some reason. So I can pretty well drive anything home that I want. AS LONG AS THERE IS NO HOLD SIGN IN THE WINDSHIELD. They buy the gas and pay the insurance, so why not.

Re: Good Morning Thread
If another customer has it out or if it just sold that's fine. They got there before I did. But for a salesman to take it home overnight and park it in his drive during business hours is not fair to the customer that comes in to look at it. If it's after hours, no problem.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Don't get me wrong, I understand what your saying. However it doesn't change the fact that without an appointment then you take a chance just showing up. FYI, this is something that happens at all dealerships. In my case, I get paid minimum wage, so it's a bit of a perk. I don't have a health or dental plan or any other incentives, except this. I've even driven an 50th anniversary numbered Mustang. They only made and released 1965 worldwide. If my job didn't offer this small perk, then I would have never have gotten the chance to try it out. I've driven home Hemi Challengers and Hemi Chargers, and the dealer buys my gas. The second they stop letting me do that, I will no longer work there for minimum wage. When I drove this vehicle home, I had no intentions of buying it, but I liked and will buy it tomorrow, making me a customer, by chance.

Good morning, wow that was a long story! -20 and windy so the wind chill must be around -30 to -35. It is not snowing but it seems like it with the wind blowing the fresh snow around. Calling for something like +6 and rain for Sunday so we'll see.
Have a great day all.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Morning boys, well almost lunch.
Dam cold here today no wind but -23 this morning with a high of -19, even to cold to work on the old Cuda. I will be forced out there this afternoon to replace the blower motor on an Acura later this afternoon. Seems a blower motor can only go when it's dam cold out there.
JG, the Dan bought a Fiat? What else could start with an F?
