Good morning all. The humidity is back going to feel like the 40s for the next 3 or 4 days. Was going to take the car out for a couple of hours before the heat sets in. Have a good day.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning everybody, 15, calm and mostly cloudy due to a tropical coming up the Eastern seaboard but this is about the only effect we will get from it, on the other hand last night the system was around New York city, they got some wind and rain but nothing too severe. The western coast of Nova Scotia (Yarmouth) might see something but the storm will be south, in the ocean. Should be fairly humid today with a high of 27 but feeling like mid 30s. Went for a walk on the river trail these last few times, nice down there, doesn't look like when I was a kid, the marsh is much wider at places.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning, 12 and raining this morning. First day of school here so theres excitement and fear in the air today for the wee ones. Today my grandson walks home by himself for the first time. I will meet him at the end of our street and bring him here for milk and Dads cookies as per usual. Last few weeks of car insurance before shes off the road for the winter sheesh that went fast.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Yes but we can insure for a set period of time most guys insure for 6 months then we put storage insurance on them. With storage you still have all the regular insurance you just can't drive it on the road. Next year they are bringing in enhanced collector car insurance for us muscle car guys who have resto mods. That will be around 400 bucks for the year for full coverage so next year it will be insured year round

Re: Good Morning Thread
There are 2 or 3, companies here that offer collector car, hot rod and resto mod insurance and for the most part the cost is on an agreed professional appraisal. I've had cars that insured for as little as $110. My Duster has not been appraised for almost 5 years, last apprasial valued it at $27,000. So the insurance is $250 a year for full coverage and full replacement value. Only issue is they put a limitation on what the car can be used for as well as mileage.

Re: Good Morning Thread
My insurance will likely go up next year , as Im going to get the car reappaised. I`m sure the value has gone up because Ive replaced the interior and had the car painted as well. I also bought the numbers matching engine (which I likely won`t install.) as well as the build sheet for it.Ragtacker wrote:Welcome back Keith. Dan thats pretty cheap insurance. Re: Good Morning Thread
Oh ya the value will be up for no other reason than the US dollar but ad in the improvements and a reappraisal is very prudent. My truck insurance is almost 3 grand for the year but with my good driving discounts its around 1800 so regular insurance is quite expensive so when we can get a break on the classic cars its most welcome! most guys I know have not had their vehicles appraised in some time and I think besides having all your receipts the appraisal is just as important

Re: Good Morning Thread
That still seems rather high. I pay less than $2000, for 3 cars. full coverage and a very low deductible. Where do you live RegRagtacker wrote:Oh ya the value will be up for no other reason than the US dollar but ad in the improvements and a reappraisal is very prudent. Our insurance is year round, the only other thing is the licencing, which we decide the date on. For me it's mid May to end of October, this year.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Yes same here, the only time the birthday affects anything is your drivers license renewal which is every 5 years. The plates and insurance is whatever date you like.JGL wrote:We have stickers too but we choose the date...year to year or whatever your heart desires or can afford.
Good morning, 11 this am damp and cool. More showers today, almost put the fireplace on last night for a bit but didn`t. We normally get pretty nice weather until late September or early October but not this year it appears.
Have a great day

Re: Good Morning Thread
Kind of a late ''Good morning'' for me today, been too busy at odds and ends to sit down and type away. Went down to 12 last night, already18 at 8:30 AM but 25 now, those southerly air flows come every once in a while and are usually warm and humid. I don't mind the humidity that much but my wife does. It started off sunny then cloudy and now sunny again, might be a cruising day. My temp gauge made it to our postal facility but with a looming strike it could be there for a couple days.
Have a great Mopar day.

Good Morning, cold and rain here today will slow the harvest down. Got the duster valued at $37,000.00 with SMI insurance, no appraisal required. The guy fucked up that appraised the Vette and under valued it. Then the fucker died before we could get it fixed. .So now i am stuck with it like this for 5 years. Yeah yeah i am a cold bastard. lol. Have a good day everyone.

Hagerty insurance should solve all your problems and probably save you money at the same time.
