''I think by the right coast, he means the one that rarely see's snow'',
wouldn't that be known as the no winter coast?

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning people, we are starting the day with sun from time to time and 5 this morning and going all the way to 13 or so. Think I'll search on the computer and try to find out where are the car shows are this summer.
Have a good day all.

I guess its all in how you look at it. I personally could finish out my life without seeing snow again, and it wouldn't bother me a bit.

I am not loosing any sleep about it in all honesty especially when I talk to my brothers in Alberta and Nova Scotia. I have been known to call as I am mowing the lawn and they are shoveling.

Only problem is BC. stands for BRING CASH, and lots of it. And Unfortunatly even with what I have in stocks, bonds and RRSP's, I still couldn't afford it. Not even if I cashed in and sold everything including my house here.

Re: Good Morning Thread
there was a time when you could cash out in Ontario and do well here but that was 20 plus years ago. I had lots of customers who had done exactly that. Now the trend seems to be cash out here head to the East Coast or cash out take the trailer and disappear for 6 months at a time. I can sell my home here and buy near my brother for a 1/4 of what I can sell for here. Not going to but financially we should be looking at that. If you were`t born here you need to have struck it rich somewhere to get here. To say its expensive is a huge understatement, just to get my truck and fifth wheel on and off the island you need 750 bucks return. Our smugness about the weather is really the only justification for staying here besides the fact momma needs an address and to be near the grandkids, me well......

Unfortunately no snow comes at a price...so what doesn't. After a certain age, nobody likes snow, furthermore it is not the season for it so lets just forget about it for a while since we can.

It may not be the season according to the calendar, but obviously the weather can't read.

The weatherman just turns berserk once in a while but at least this time of year even the northern guys know it won't last.

Re: Good Morning Thread
The winters here are usually cold and wet which gets into your bones and joints. When we get the cold dry northern air even at minus 10 it's not bad to work in.
I appreciate the scenery here more than anything, the ocean, mountains, it really is beautiful here. My dad lives in winterpeg from May to Dec/Jan at his wife's house and then they come out here to his condo. I have been to Winterpeg and through the prairies and it is just to flat for me. Did some work in Thunderbay and not much to look at there either. I am so used to being here I wouldn't want to leave. Lived up in Tahsis on the North-west coast of the island when I was a kid for a year and a half. Now did I mention I like chocolate cookies?? Good night John-boy, goodnight Mary-ellen, Goodnight Jim-bob, Goodnight Grand-pa......................Enjoy your day tomorrow fellas. Hey Sheldon, where are ya hiding??

How many cars have you got? Could end up being expensive and time consuming.smoken340 wrote:Good morning all, nice and sunny today going to a high of 25. Have a few errands this morning, including a stop at the license bureau to renew all of my license stickers on my cars. Have a good day all.
Good morning Moparians, was hazy but the sun is supposed to be the main actor, went for a walk already, stepping out for a while.

I wish we had some sun.... only 2 now and rain all day, only a high of 8,,, ugh.
I know how you feel Dan, going to register can be costly if you have a few too many cars!

That sounds like the weather we had earlier but weather patterns move west to east so we are not to blame.

I only have 4 cars, but at $108. each it winds up being $432.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Does that include the Duster? Can't you license it for only 6 months? We can down here and $50.00 sure is better than $108.
