New dash
In the fall when I put the car away and started coming up with a project list the one thing that was never on the radar was a new dash. After Christmas I decided to take out the dash bezels and see if I could get the dash lights, signal, lights and high bean indicator working because here in BC we have a collector car program as far as insurance is concerned. We can get vastly discounted insurance premiums if the vehicle qualifies and it must pass the mechanical inspection which means all lights as well as mechanics must be functional. I was tired of having a set of dash guages (non functioning) and a set of aftermarket guages(functioning) as well as a speedometer that works but was noisy and in mph. I had looked at classic dash previously but they did not have a dash for the 67,68,69 Abody back then but now do so here we go! I got the carbon fibre one because theres too much plain ol black in there now and the polished aluminum is just not what I wanted for this car. I went with Autoguage and bought the electric gps speedometer. The dash bezel was a relatively good fit but do not be mislead this requires some surgery to get fitted more than I thought but once commited theres no turning back. I made up my own wiring harness but took advantage of the led lights that are optional for the dash setup and quite like how hard they are to see unlit and how damn bright they are when lit. Anyway here it is but not in proper order.
is.
is.

Re: New dash
Looks a heck of a lot better than my old one, congrats.
I have been ogling the new dash upgrades for a while and wishing they would be cheaper.
NOW you'll have to see how far you can get that red km/h needle to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ............. or

Re: New dash
Looks good , carbon fibre just isn’t my cup of tea. I think modern gauges in a classic dash would be more my style.

Re: New dash
Those gauges will be a lot easier so see than the old ones. The good thing about installing a voltage gauge is you save all current from going through the firewall, One fault I've found with a few of my cars.
Looks good Reg!

Myself I like white gauges better on a black or dark background.

Re: New dash
LZ if I had yours I`d burn mine! So for a winter I was not going to do much I wound up doing alot. New dash and gauges including a gps speedometer, new headliner, new dynamat( thanks LZ)under the back seat which the former owner saw fit to avoid doing, tore out all the firewall insulation or what was left of it and used sem rust killer(thanks again LZ)to get the surface rust fixed and then more dynamat on the inside firewall, new wiper pivots and seals, and a new 800 cfm carb. Maybe get new shoes for the front or may not.

That is a hell of a list...If you still have money left over, I surely would not...unless I borrowed it from somebody else. $$

Re: New dash
wiper pivots and seals is a very important and often miss looked item .I have seen lots of front floor pans that will agree .
