Dash Pad for 69 Dart
I'm needing a new black dash pad for my 69 Dart. I see Early-Bird parts back east has them for $429 ...sound about right price? Anyone else bought one up here? Thanks.

I have never bought anything from early birds, mostly because they are more into Fords (mustangs ) and Chevrolets (Camaro and Chevelles ) so I'm not sure how versed they are in Mopars. Also they can be a little hard to get on the phone. National Mo-Parts has them on their web site, but a little more pricey $449.95.http://nationalmoparts.com/parts-catalogue?page=shop.browse&category_id=269
Nigel only does Mopar, so I trust him much more to sell quality parts. The only thing that I can say, if you decide to go with National, make sure he has it in stock, especially if your in a hurry. He tends to take orders without checking inventory. He will get your parts if he doesn't have them in stock, you just might have to wait a couple of weeks.

Forgot all about them Alan. They are actually showing a cheaper price of $299. albeit, that's probably in US. dollars. As of today, that works out to about $390 cdn.

I wouldn't be afraid of rust on the back of the frame as long as the pad itself looked good.

I have one on my Duster. Not 100% perfect but still a nice product.

When restoring a car, rust should be avoided whenever possible. If any moisture gets on the back, then rust stains will run down the dash. I personally wouldn't use it.
