1969 Dart Swinger
This is the current project and has been for far too long, but that's life I suppose. Started this adventure back in Dec of 05. It was completely gutted with no interior or glass to speak of. It was, however, a numbers matching car which made it worthwhile. Started it's life as a Y2 yellow 340 swinger 4 speed car from Alberta the best I can tell. The last active plates were from 1984 from Alberta. Currently the numbers matching block has been set aside for a .30 over 360 good for around 400 hp and 450 tq. I really don't have too much more to go, just suffered from a lack of interest and life getting in the way. Here are some picks of the build so far.

More Pics
Need to get a few more pics (with a better camera) as I have made some more progress lately. Dealing with lining up the rear quarter windows which has been the bane of my existence!!

Looking good. Lots of work, but worth it in the end.

Yep it's a knock off version. Got it from a local stereo shop. He was actually working on a 73 dart and found it helped considerably for sound. Also did the cardboard behind the rear seat. Makes it a little more comfortable in there.

im going to be starting the build of my 69 340 swinger in a month or so, funny im in alberta nad my car has the plates on it from california form 1984 as well, maybe it was a good year to park them. i see you are re wiring the car, what harness are you using? are you doing the whole car with one harness are are there a couple differnt ones your using?

Re: 1969 Dart Swinger
Used the Painless wiring kit for the whole car. Have it almost all done now. Just the cooling fans and distributor left. The kit is very easy to install. Well marked and same colours as OEM.

It's a .030 over 360 with a magnum top end. Best guess is 430-440 hp and 440-450 tq with the new camshaft.

Re: 1969 Dart Swinger
very nice work on the car .it is a lot of work to take on such a project .
maybe it might be a good idea to clean the cam grindings out of your new engine when you put your new cam in . that stuff lays in every crevasse .

Re: 1969 Dart Swinger
Looks good but those 60<s are screaming for an 8" rim but you do not have the room for it unless you get a the backspacing figured out.

Re: 1969 Dart Swinger
The catch with that body style. I'd like to try something wider but the tire size is about all you can fit under there. Don't feel like doing the spring relocation right now, although I do have the kit.
