UNFRICKINBELIEVABLE ....Yesterday morning our furnace went for a crap....Today I woke up to warm milk ...yuck !
So our 12 year old fridge quit....
Do I have it fixed, or replace it ?

Good morning all, I work for a Ford dealership and because we were having trouble finding room for cars, we brought in a front end loader and a couple of dump trucks. All I had to do was move 150 cars around.JGL wrote:Snow removal what the heck is that? Never heard of that, Is that something that is done in warm weather?

GEEZ, Alan if it wasn't for bad luck then you wouldn't have any luck. Just replace it, old appliances aren't worth the bother.

The newer appliances are much more energy efficient as well.

Re: Good Morning Thread
We bought a new fridge 1 1/2 year ago. Our old one was leaking once in a while. When the delivery guy came we told him that our old fridge was 30 some years old, his reply was: "I promise you that this new one won't last this long, they are not built that way any more". So expect energy efficiency but not long lasting. We have my mothers old fridge in the basement and it is still running after about 35-40 years, don't expect that from the new ones. you can start saving to replace the one you are going to buy in about 10 years.

Nothing is built to last anymore. If they built things to last, such as your mothers 35-40 year old fridge, then companies wouldn't make any money, and more people would be out of work.

This is true and is probably part of the reason why we see people in the US working until the age of 75 or so(which is not nice) that and their frigged-up economy due to silly and very costly wars.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good morning guys, getting some snow here in Calgary this morning.
I have to get my butt back out to the garage and finishing putting in my frame connectors but they aren't the best fit to the floor. A lot of work getting them to fit to the floor nice.

Tac weld to the floor if you can and fill the gaps with caulking. Just an idea that worked on mine.

Yea its getting the connectors to fit close enough to weld to the floor that's taking some time. But will do the caulking as well.

Good morning all, a nice relaxing day for me today. Was watching the weather station a while ago and they say we may get above "0" next week. YIPEE.

Good morning, I hope that means us easterners can expect the same thing soon. A bit more cleaning this morning from what the plow gave us as a gift last night but at least there is no wind and it is not too cold.

Well, we are supposed to get hit with snow Sunday evening into Monday. So I think you guys will have to take that first.

Usually we get the weather systems that come up the Atlantic seaboard (Boston), and the ones that go through Toronto usually head to Quebec and maybe northern NB but there is always exceptions.
I live in the south eastern corner of NB and Coyote Jack in the southern central part NB (about 1 1/2 hours away).

Good day all, had a good day today. My plans are to relax tonight, get to bed relatively early, getting up tomorrow morning and heading up north to get my bucket seats. Should be back home by 5 or 6 tomorrow evening.
