Re: Good Morning Thread
GOODmorning everybody crapload of snow, I already was up cleaning a little so my son could go to work, outside around 7 AM. After that was done I went back in, cooled off a little, then went back to bed for another hour + 1/2. Amazingly I really fell asleep and am now ready for round two which will be a doozer. Temp was -14C and windy the first I went out, this time a balmy -13C and windy. (-13 + -15 wind chill = -28 to 30 wind chill)Coyote Jack wrote:Good morning all. Time to go move a crapload more snow. Hope your day is better than mine is going to be.

No Family Day for us poor Maritimers, that is a holiday for Sk, Ont and Ab only, we have snow to deal with instead...and its free. If we want to go somewhere tomorrow we have to clean-up today.anlauto wrote:Happy Family Day .....What's everybody up to on this holiday Monday ?

Hey Alan, think I'll take the wife for a nice lunch and then take in a movie. Haven't been to a theatre in years.

I'm retired so Monday on or off does not bother me in the least and no its not an across Canada thing it is only for 3 special provinces, this is another part by our fair Harper government-give to the rich and the hell with the poor. When you are retired and it snows, you can clean the driveway in 2 or 3 days instead 2-3 hours.anlauto wrote:I thought Family Day was an across Canada thing.....sucks to be you

I realized when I was retired. I never got a day off, did the same thing everyday. Holiday or otherwise.

Officially St John NB received 33CM of snow,
Dieppe-Moncton NB received 57CM of snow,
Charlottetown PEI got dumped on with 83 I think.
Ch won the competition and I don't mind at all.

I wash my daily driver 3 times a week, even in the summer. But this time of year it's seems like a waste of time, wash it drive 2 blocks, doesn't look like it was ever touched.

Good morning everybody, looks like a better day, -14C or so, sun is shining, wind has finally died down, going out to clean the rest of the driveway, this will be part 4 of snow removal. I'm glad it is not like in the old days where we would do all this cleaning with a shovel and elbow grease

Jean-Guy, hopefully it will start to warm up soon and all of this crap will disappear for another year.

I bought one of those 90 day car wash things...I wash my Ram about 4 times a week and my wife's Avenger the other three days, but you're right...sometimes it's dirty before I even get home

Re: Good Morning Thread
I'm lucky because we have a car wash at work, so no charge. I was told from the beginning, you can use it but we will not be responsible if something happens. Three years now and nothing has ever happened. With that said I, would never run my Duster through it. That only gets washed by hand.

I hope so, there is a pile of snow on the lawn Which is nearly 10' tall.smoken340 wrote:Jean-Guy, hopefully it will start to warm up soon and all of this crap will disappear for another year.
In 1992 we had a three day storm which brought us about 168CM, that was special.

Re: Good Morning Thread
I wonder how Jack made out with his lesser amount of snow? I know that with this snow blower I have a 10' pile of snow on the lawn and with old one I would have a 10' pile of snow right alongside the driveway.
Oh yes a sore back comes with it too, I guess I am not 41 any more.
