Off to a good start - the Fish fired right up so I could move it out into the sunlight today - this is the first project completed!

Nice! I also like them so well I'm putting one in my newly acquired 71 Javelin. That and a T56 -6 speed.

Love it and looks good. That is what I accord for my 65 Cuda as well!

Are you running the factory 4 sp? Mine is a 65 and the floor mount that hold the boot down is different.

actually Keith mine left the factory with 3 on the tree; when I got it it had 4 through the floor, which I didn't find out until I leaned on the hump shortly after I got it 5 years ago and found out that there was no hump - correct carpet but whoever did the "alterations" just cut 2 holes in the tunnel and ran the rods under the carpet clown

found a correct hump and had it all fixed the next spring.

'65 has a round hole in the hump, round boot and either round trim ring or the fancy trim plate with the shift pattern on it; '66 has oval boot and trim ring.
For this changeover, I got both the shifter handle and the oval boot with rectangular hole from Brewer's - cost less brand new than many of the beat-up originals ('71 non-console B-body).

You need a 2-bolt Competition Plus Hurst Shifter to make this work.

Thanks for the info Lyle, mine has the round shifter hole with the shift pattern on the trim ring plate. I have a bunch of parts on order from brewers right now as I converted the 9" clutch to a 10.5. I wasn't sure that the 9 would hold up to my engine.

Your cars interior looks fabulous!!!

Project # 2 completed today - replaced the spring-driven trunk lid support with a new, modern pneumatic support - no more warped hinges!

Here's the old setup:

Looks good Lyle. My 65 has the latch type mechanism to hold up the trunk lid. But the first 65 Cuda I had had the same trunk setup as yours, must depend on build dates.

It seems like this is a successful build. It honestly looks nice and clean.
