MOPARFEST 2019

pre registered a long time ago. Hope more people show up this year.

i plan on driving up in 2020 or 21 with my 73 duster .

I'm defiantly not happy with the changes that they are making. Not sure if I'll attend.

What are they changing? I've gone every year in person for the last 10-12 years but never bought a car.

It won’t affect the actual car show. They are allowing house hold stuff into the swap meet. They claim that it won’t hurt it, but when they did it at Burls creek it didn’t take long until there was more house hold crap than car parts. And the swap meet is the real reason that I go. Hell I can see cars at any car show, but Mopar parts are hard to find at most swap meets.

Oh wow, ya that sucks nail in the coffin for sure, the parts selection was pretty pitiful to begin with. Ya I hear ya on the Barrie automotive flea market. I've haven't gone for years. I don't need anymore woodcarvings and dollar store items. Spend 6 hours wading thru crap to find a rust moar rim and one rusty cylinder head,, pay to park, pay to get in, no thanks

I see that happening at Moparfest before long. I contacted them about my displeasure and they said that the ladies need something to do while the guys do the show. I told them that my wife does car shows with me and I do craft shows with her and have never asked the organizer of those shows to add cars.

Ill see what its like this year. Maybe they will be put out where they park the trailers. Out of site, out of mind. Already bought the tickets.

My guess is, just like Burls Creek, it will take a few years but eventually the household flea market crap will take over. They claim that they are going to keep everything separate. But I figure if you have car parts for sale as well as other stuff, then you're not going to rent a separate spot.

Got my mirror tag yesterday. Hope the non-auto vender area is wayyyy out of the way. Will see how it goes.

Well if all goes well. Then I’ll probably be a spectator this year. Still won’t be able to drive the Duster by show dates. I want to see how they separate the flea market from the swap meet.

Family event, they could have chosen any weekend in the summer and they used Saturday of Moparfest. I will be only able to attend on Sunday. I will have to fix my overheating problems first.

Hey mike can you give me scooters contact info ? I really want to pick up the banner and return it to Mike (2Darts) , it doesn't seem like its going to go to the Fest anymore and he should get it back for his shop since he supplied it .

Thanks Mike I sent him a text requesting he give me a date , time and address when I coukd pick up the banner either the 17th or 18th , looks like I'only doing 1 day so probably sunday ,
