Is it really any cheaper to order from Rock Auto? Do they have a Canadian branch or something? Because as you fellow Canadians know, after exchange, S&H, duties, taxes,brokerage fees, CC companies charging extra to do the USD exchange, sometimes it’s just easier and cheaper to go to the local NAPA. But I have never given Rock Auto a chance.

Problem is, here in Canada, not everything is available for our beloved classics at NAPA.
Here in Ontario, I try to get most everything from National Moparts. Of course there's some mark up, but still cheaper than paying all of the charges by getting stuff through US. suppliers.

When you get the price with shipping it includes boarder fees and gst, the price you get is the price you pay right to the door and usually when I order I check a few places out NAPA Canadian tire and Parts Avatar (like rock auto but Canadian) so not always is rock auto cheaper but I would say 50% of the time it is and there return policy is really good as well.

I know a few people have had some trouble with them but so far I've been lucky with only 1 return.

You definitely have to price them out. If you have stuff coming from different warehouses, the advantage disappears pretty quickly. But for the most part I find they are cheaper even with the shipping worked in. Bought my gas tank from them, for $100 cheaper than I could get here shipping included. And the kicker is, the tank was made in Stratford, an hour away from me!
