roof rail
I am currently in the hunt for roof rail for my 76 Dart Sport, if somebody can help me in this search it would be very welcome. A Canadian distributor would be good news because of the darn exchange rate and shipping. So far I found Dante's to be the cheapest but wonder if are any good. Thanks for helping out!!

When I did my car, I got it all from Dantes.

Re: roof rail
Fit was very good. It took a bit of time to get the rubber to form to the shape of the glass. So for the first few weeks I couldn't close the glass tight without opening the door. But after that everything was good.

Re: roof rail
There is a seller on eBay that sells the same thing as Dante with Dante's part no. rr4005 for much less than Dante , must be Dante themselves...$62.90 US or $83.18 CDN .

Just don't cheap out with purchasing from someone you don't know. Dante guarantees everything that they sell without question.

Re: roof rail
I was at Carlisle about 3 years ago and bought a new trunk mat from Dantes. Well I got home with it only to discover that it was for a Dart and not a Duster. I had no receipt but I called Dantes and told them about it. They mailed me a proper one, at no cost to me what so ever and told me to keep the other one and sell for my troubles.

Re: roof rail
Try PG Classics in Ottawa or National Moparts in Beaverton ON. Weird thing about PG is that they price in US$.

Re: roof rail
Dantes seems great but their shipping is high and then there is the exchange rate and the duty so a $90.00 part ends up costing somewhere over $190.00 dollars...OH well!

Re: roof rail
Never liked PG Classics. They sell a lot of low quality parts. Although I can't fault the for selling at US $, because most of their product comes from there. Nigel at National Moparts, does his best to supply quality parts but in the end he buys from the USA. and has to pass on the exchange rate to his customers. I've bought plenty of stuff, from both Nigel (National Moparts) and Dantes and can not say anything bad about their customer service.

Re: roof rail
True enough you are not going to avoid the exchange rate. If you buy here it's just built into the price.

I guess that's the cost of having a classic Mopar in Canada.

Just before 2:00 pm atlantic time Jan., 24th and both sides of the roof rails are installed and the windows are up, the doors close a little harder than usual and now waiting for the summer heat to work its magic on the rubber.

Re: roof rail
My doors were the same when I changed mine. For the first couple of months, I had to open the door to roll the door glass up. But all is good now.
