Alan, you would be our in house e-body, guru. Did they come with louvers from the factory ? Seems to me I remember seeing them on the Cudas and Challengers, but I would not be able to tell you what year they were or what they had for an engine.

Yes they were an extra cost option available on Cudas and Challengers, but very seldom ordered.
My AAR is coded for them and it's 1 of only 9 AAR's known to exist with them factory ordered.
Reproduction louvers are available that look just as nice or better then these originals and they're about $800

My son is born march 1971 and my family's doctor has a dark green with black vinyl top 1970 or 1971 Challenger, 440 Six Pack, 4 speed and these louvers on!
At the time, at that hospital, I was the first father to be present in the delivery room and we were discussing about the performance of his Challenger VS the 428 Mustang he had before. LOL

Don't want to jump the tread start by Smoken340 so I will try to be short..........so Dr. Dubé have a 428 Cobra jet, 4 speed Mach I and miss a speed shift and a piston go out of the side of the block. Ford didn't want to replace the 428 and install a 390 instead!!!
That's when he buy the Challenger, drive it as hard as the ''Mustclang'' and never fail.
Only complaint was ''this car was gas hungry''
As for Stéphane , my son, he was a car guy. He had many Warlock, Ramcharger and he restored a 1968 Plymouth GTX, 440, 4 speed. He died of cancer in 2007.

Re: This guy banged his head
Thanks guys........... my son had three different cancers in a two years span. The last one was leucemia that take him in a few weeks. Every one has his own life and nobody can do nothing about it.

Four is young but cancer takes them at all ages. I lost my mother to cancer and bronchitis combined and my father to Alzheimer's...not very pleasant. mother like 12 1/2 years ago and dad about 16.

I feel your pain..........you and I and anybody who lost a child know that life will never be the same..........
..........when I go back to work, a friend at the job catch me in a corner and TALK, really TALK to me. He too lost a son when his house burn to ground. He said that they divorce because he and his wife didn't talk to each others, they lived their pain apart.
So he SAID and REPEATE till I fully understand that I have to talk with my wife about the lost of our child. He save our mariage!
