Atlantic Nationals 2016, Moncton New Brunswick

Just to let you know, The Show is 5 days in 2016, compared to 4 days the years before, starting with a Wednesday night Cruise In to Action Car & Truck Accessories on Wednesday, July 6th to the 10th.

So Wednesday:   night cruise to Action Car & Truck
Thursday:  free breakfast at Riverview kinsmen sponsored by the town of Riverview(open to participants, wifes and others only)
Friday:  cars exposition on Main st and side streets (about 250-300 cars, music at night)
Saturday & Sunday:  cars in Centennial Park about 2000 cars.

Canada's largest auto event and Canada's "most fun" car show.

If you are maybe planning on coming to the AtNats, I would not book a room too late cause you might be disappointed. Book no later than February or March if possible. It is much easier to cancel a reservation than to find one. There is always more than one event going on in Moncton.

J-G, what are the exact dates. I'm still trying to decide what shows to attend this year.

J-G, If you were to recommend a good Hotel, that's not to far from the show, which hotel would it be ? Is there anything around there like shopping/ museums, Botanical gardens. that I could take the wife to in the evenings ? My wife never complains and she does every show with me, I just try to find something that interests her so it's not all about me. lol.

Royal plaza on Highfield or Hotel Beau, oh I almost forgot the newest one and most expensive one, in case that is your bag it's the Marriott on Main street.

we stay at the Hampton inn on mapleton it is a nice clean hotel easy to get to and the kids love the pool there is also a car washing station and a great breakfast and nice looking chicks work there .

Right on but a bit far, the Super 8 in Dieppe would be closer for you and it has a water slide and pool...did not check the rates though.

its a nice cruise up mapelton and over to mountain and then on to anywhere .
jon -guy did they move the dodge dealership over to mapelton from mountain yet or did I dream that ?

There are plans to build on Mapleton but nothing has moved yet. A lot of the local dealers are building or have built just past the airport and I believe that would be a better place for them, maybe they saw the light and changed pans.

hey jean-guy I checked out the super 8 and there is no vacancy for that weekend so we booked at the Hampton and there is only 3 rooms left there looks like it will be a busy weekend its gonna be a lot of fun .

That is for sure. Darn thing is it's going to be a tiring one too...ah well we'll sleep Monday.

Well not going to make it down this year. The date conflicts with my wife's trip to Europe. Someone has to stay home with the dog, so I was elected. Maybe next year.

Oh well at least you tried, like you say...maybe next year.

its a no brainer the wife will be in Europe man ....... find a baby sitter for the pooch .

There's only one place that we trust to put our dog into. However with the expense of sending my wife and daughter to Europe. A trip down east as well as the expense of having my dog boarded at $75 per day is out of the question. My wife has been talking about going back home to Europe, for a visit for 3 years now. So I finally told her to do it before she can't.

That practically means you two will not be travelling too much together.

Couple of short trips this year for me but nothing big. Doing Vegas in April, nothing else planned except some local shows, like Moparfest & Bothwell.

And I thought I would just camp at J-G's and drink his beer, when I go.
It's been in my books for many years now, my main issue is the Syracuse Nats., which are the following weekend, and Chrysler Carlisle is usually on the same weekend.

Lot's of traveling in a week. Considering I sold my motorhome three years ago, and I regret it now.
I sold it because I was hardly ever using it. I'm looking at buying a small camper van, for exactly this kinda situation.

If you come down you can bring a tent and put it up in my back yard, just leave my beer alone.

If I were to travel 2000 miles, the least that I would expect is a cold beer and a BBQ steak.lol

And I was always told that east coasteners were known for their hospitality. My first wife was from Moncton NB. I guess I should have known better.

But honestly, Ontario beer, is just not the same as the East coast beer.

In which way, because the only real good beer they had down there was Moosehead, but it's not made the same as it was 20 years ago.
