Stalls when coming to a stop
Was out in the Duster running a few errands. I was at a stop and gave it a bit of a rev. Heard a loud bang from underneath, scared the crap out of me. Light changed, made it to the next light and as I slowed to a stop, it seemed quiet. engine had stalled and there was something of a hissing sound. Depressed the clutch, motor started, stayed running long as foot was on the gas but would not idle, died again, same sound as before. Whenever I came to a stop, motor died. Lucky close to home so made it ok. Now I need to figure out what the problem is. I'm thinking clutch related. Any ideas on what to look for?

If idling in neutral does it die or only when you depress the clutch?
How does the clutch feel when leaving the line, smooth or jerky and has the point of clutch engagement changed?

Fixed it, found a plastic cap rolling on the intake manifold that belonged on the carb. Put it back, runs like a charm again.

Good job, sounds like you had a large vacuum leak.
