Now on to more mods, there must room for more power now...
I'm betting the new cats is what really helped you out.

Re: Passed Ontario Drive Clean with Carb
The first test with 4 barrel and PCV connected, ignition retarded failed with high CO, HC low at 2500 rpm which showed it was rich but the Cats burned off the HC (hydrocarbons).
Second without PCV and smaller carb dropped CO dramatically and passed. I hope others can learn from this when it is their turn to give a gift of money to the government.
As far as more power this small one is probably 280-300 hp, 360-380 tq and tows pretty good but lacking for car trailer.
We have plans with a 360 and cast 4" crank Edelbrock heads and air gap, which we all have. Same small cam and carb for 5000 rpm max tow motor. The other option would be buy lots of big block stuff but we think the 408 will do it.
The next emission test will be for my other son's 351w '88 Mustang which we might have to register as a "hot rod", not looking forward to that. EMISSIONS TESTS SUCK.

Ya we're lucky in AB we don't have any emission testing.
You probably will help the guys out that need to get the emission test done.
Good luck with the Stang.

If you would live down here in the Maritimes there would be NO emissions test...all we have to pass is the motor vehicle inspection each year.

With the most cars in Ontario I'm sure this makes the tree huggers feel good that they are protecting the environment.
This program now has a very low failure rate with modern cars and is now losing money and costing the tax payers to fund it.
Geez, another thing I just don't understand.

Motor vehicle inspection is done here when your selling or buying only, and then never again as long as you own the car.
Emissions are just a crock of sh*t. Just another way to get some extra tax money from us.
