My 1972 Demon Empty My 1972 Demon

Post by Coyote Jack Wed Jan 21, 2015 5:38 pm

This is my 1972 Demon. It started life as a 318/904 grocery getter driven by grandma. It took 2 1/2 years for me to rebuild it to a 360/727 combo. I wasn't satisfied so I built a 340 for it. Sorry about the lousy pics but I had a computer die on me lately and these are all I could find of it.

The Demon
Year - 1972
Block - 1968 340
Heads - ported X-heads
Crank - stock forged
Rods - Eagle H-beams
Pistons - TRW forged +.030
Cam - custom grind solid flat tappet from Steve Morris Racing
Blower - Dyers 6-71
Carbs - Holley 600 double pumpers
Dizzy - MSD
Ignition - MSD 6AL
TQ - 3500 stall
Tranny - 727 reverse manual
Rear - 8 3/4 3.23 shur-grip
HP and TQ = unknown (hehehe)
Colour - 2000 Viper Red

Thanks Aaron, your to kind.
I just picked up a pair of Dynomax super turbo mufflers and a Snow's Performance water/meth injection kit. I figure I will probably start working on the car this weekend. Lots to do as you know.

It looks delicious. Let us know how the water/meth kit works. FHO is doing my blown hemi and I am looking to use the kit as well.

No, it's a 69 superbee clone/tribute still in the project stage. You've probably seen the car over at Moparts.

I won't really know how the kit works until spring. Not much snow around here yet but there is still lots of sand and salt.

Looking great Jack! I remember a few years back, when you were looking for info etc..., thinking about bolting the blower on.

We will just have to cure that this summer at the Nats. It is always best to have first hand experience.
