340 engine

is there any 340's out there? would like to possibly get one. preferable alberta area.

Do you ever make it down to Calgary? I have a 340 that needs to be bored with crank and matching damper for free. No heads on it but I also have several sets of later 340 or 360 heads.

I checked the kijiji ad and they're sold. Keith I 'd be interested in what you can put together for sure. Can make a day trip one wkd. Message me details at your convenience and can go from there.

If you can't find a 340 you can always find a good ol 360, just build it up a little. You will find that a 360 will cost you in the $300 - $500 range, while a 340 is usually $2500-$3000 (good deals are sometimes found), parts for the 360 are cheaper too.

Rellbog I went and grabbed that 340 from my other garage and will some pics of it tonight. When I took it in a to a machine shop a couple of years back they said it need a 20 over to clean up one bore. But I did have it in an other car and is ran fairly strong.

I have my brother checking for the heads for you as well if you want some. They will be late 340 or 360 heads

I found some heads for you rellbog and a flywheel that I had marked for a cast crank 340. The heads are 915 casting so I think they are off a late 340 or early 360 engine. The heads will need gong over at the valve spring caps don't look correct but no burnt valves in the heads.
It's all for free if you want them, let me know.

ragtacker I also have 3 more small blocks. I'll check what I have and let you know. I usually don't keep 318's so I'll look at what I have out there for a rebuild candidate.

i have the 360 in the Dart now but I have a real love affair with the 340 and I would like to build a real neck snapper this time. The 360 is pretty quick now but it has`t scared me so ......
