I used to go every year....Haven't been in quite awhile. I don't like the chaos, I prefer Carlisle, haven't missed that show in 22 years

I did Carlisle, last year. It was my first time and I really enjoyed it.
I have never done the NATS, but was told that it was pretty good. I just booked my hotel so I guess that I'll find out just how good it is or isn't.

Are you taking your car? I'm thinking of going. If so maybe we should go together.

Do you like Drag Racing ? If so, you'll like the Nationals. Even with a million golf carts running you down, over flowed shitters and garbage cans everywhere.

Not sure if I'm taking the car just yet. May take the newer daily driver.
Are you driving yours down ?

I'm undecided. It will depend on the weather for sure. I won't know if I'm going until shortly before. We are normally into wheat harvest around that time but some years we are done by then.

This would be a great lesson.
Since you were a first timer at Carlisle last year and this year will be your first time going to the Mopar Nationals....

I would like to hear a full report on comparing the two shows. Good and Bad.

Everywhere you go on the internet, people like me have jaded opinions based on their favorites. Usually old-timers, like myself, are not into all the ruckuss and chaos of the Nationals, but prefer the quiet, controlled show like Carlisle.
The Nationals has a great night life, where Carlisle has none...only good if you're into that stuff, and of course the drag racing.

Alan, I'll make a full report about my experience when its all over. Being 11 years your senior and a non drinker, I'm not much on the night life. Not much into the racing scene anymore either. However up to this point in my life, I didn't have time for things like this, so over the next few years I'm going to take in a different show or two each year. I hope to do the Atlantic Nationals, this or next year as well.
