The Duster came out in 70 or 71,
The Demon was produced in 71 & 72 but what replaced it and why??
Answer to be revealed in a few days.

I think you are right Churchy. Christian groups were complaining about the name and logo.

The Duster was introduced in '70 on A-bodies, and the nameplate was used on on F-bodies (Volare/Aspen) in '80, and also on P bodies (Shadow/Sundance) in 1990,they came with a V6.

As for the Demon, it faced it's demise, as mentioned above. Dodge re-named it the Dart Sport in '73.
They ended up with two different body styles of Darts, both on A bodie platforms.
The Dodge Dart Sport and also the Dart Swinger...

Chrysler had too many complaints about the name "Demon" Coyote Jack's Demon actually has a name plate which says "Dart Demon" I am not sure if this is stock or otherwise.
