Dodge Ram logo

When did Dodge start using the bighorn sheep head as the Ram logo?

I know that they used the Ram head on the mid 30's dodge cars, but on trucks it could be had in the late 50's.

I have a buddy that owns a 39 Dodge pickup restored to original and it has a Ram head. I remember when he brought the truck home and it was there prior to the restoration.

Would they have used it on promotional materials in the early 70s like in the picture? I was given this cup today. I believe it has never been used but I don't know how old it is. Could be old or it could be new.

We didn't have mugs like this in the 70s. I believe this to be newer, 2005 & up. Don't know if these were given away by dealers or if it was something that you could buy at a swap meet.

I would say that's for the newer Dodge Charger Super Bee...maybe 2006/7

Yea I searched on google, cars had the Ram head first in 1932 and looked like this.



And as smoken340 said his buddies truck had the Ram logo in 1939, it actually started in 1936. Pictures came from allpar.



This is what the ram logo looked like in 1948.

I searched high and low, before I found the hood ornament for my '38 Dodge pickup.
It's a Ram, almost like the '36 pictured above.
