Re: Start or Not
There are pros and cons to each but in my case I usually start it 3-5 times during the winter, of course depending on the weather. I usually pick a day which is not too cold, if lucky on the mild side, usually a few hours before I start it, I'll put a small heater under the engine(just to warm up the oil), usually charge the battery the day before, remove heater, hook the battery up and then turn the key, after it starts I back it out of the garage, raise the idle speed and let it idle until it is warmed up usually 15-20 minutes. During the time the car is outside I'll close the garage door so the fumes don't fill the garage.

Re: Start or Not
MY Dart has been stored without starting simply because I drain most of the fluids from the car during storage.

This is the first time that I have ever heard of someone doing this. Do you have a reason for doing it ?

Re: Start or Not
I know of quite a few quirks but never heard of this on either although I have heard of people draining the anti-freeze but God knows why one would bother doing this.

The storage unit required it (so cars wouldn't leak onto their floors).
Re: Start or Not
Then I guess it would make sense.

Oh ok, I thought this was something that you did because it is good for the car.
