69 Bee/clone bruiser

My project I am working on. Car is currently in storage as we had moved and now I am building a new garage/shop so I can get the car and tools back home.

Here I was trying to set up to keep the stock suspension, ended up going with an Alterkation unit.

What it looked like when I bought it, turned out the car was rusted inside and out.

Wow, you're really getting into that baby! Hope you get the shop / garage built soon.......your probably having withdrawal symptoms! The engine looks great poking up there.

Shows how a picture can be deceiving! The car looks great in the picture!

        A few of the rust issues. The front frame rails were shot due to rust as well.

Rear suspension and frame rails were just hacked in. The frame rails were made with two pieces of c-channel and hack welded together.
       

The drivers side repairs, made the replacement piece.

Wow your doing really nice work, will be a beauty when its done, like to see your progress as you come along with it, I envy you guys that have the skills to do this.

Nice work, wish I hadda learned to do body and paint. Be nice when yer done with it.

That's a real sharp color, you're car is going to look nice when finished.

I made the brackets on the left as I did not like the ones that came with the kit.
   

Made these brackets for the sides.
  

I had a machine shop throw these pieces on the lathe for me since I don't have one yet. Then I welded them in, top and bottom. The one end sticks out 1/8" to use as locators for the K-frame.

    

I ended up making the diagonal link into an x brace and made the brackets and spacers.

Very nice work you are doing on your Bee, and as you surely know, that color is Go Mango from Dodge Ram Daytona 2005.......that my son choose for his 1978 Ramcharger......

In this picture, the truck seem darker.






My son never finish this 440 cu.in. Ramcharger, in 2007 he lost battle to cancer. My daughter in-law return with his family 400 miles away, so I deliver the Ram and his Triumph Daytona (100 th anniversary) to her place. She sold the truck a few years later.
